SEASON 2017/18 Welcome to season 2017/18 to all Club players, officials, members and supporters. This season marks a special milestone for the Club as it celebrates its 70 th year. The Walkerville Cats Softball Club was founded in 1947 and was initially known as the Northern Districts Softball Club. The Club is a proud, successful club that contributes to the development of its players and to softball in general. The Committee is currently planning this season s social and fundraising activities. The major event will be the 70 th year celebration with details to be announced in coming weeks. Club social events provide the opportunity for players of all grades, parents and supporters in general to meet and enjoy catching up in a social environment. These events also allow for much needed fundraising which in turn allows annual fees to be kept as low as possible. I encourage you to participate in as many Club events as you can throughout the year. The Club also has two key days on its calendar: Club Day celebrated on Saturday 25 November 2017 at West Beach; and Breast Cancer Awareness Day in March 2018 (date to be confirmed) at West Beach, where together with the Adelaide Club Competition, all money raised is donated to Breast Cancer Awareness. I wish all players and officials an enjoyable and successful season as they continue to represent the Walkerville Softball Club competitively and with pride, fairness and respect. GO CATS!
