CONNEC IONS from your Pastor s Heart The Living Christmas Tree and Lottie! The calendar pages have peeled away and only December remains. Synonymous with December is FBC s Living Christmas Tree and our emphasis on International Mission Support. Over the years the Living Tree has grown into one of the most noted features of Christmas in our region. Yet to me the most exciting dimension of the Living Tree is our priceless privilege to share the good news of Jesus Christ with untold thousands of people in person and through the television broadcasts. If we had a revival with a famous evangelist we would not have more people come to FBC to hear the gospel proclaimed. We will have several thousand visitors discover how to come to and connect with God s church. The bottom line is simple: The Living Tree is our top outreach and evangelism event! Consider the following suggestions which will help us maximize our Living Christmas Tree Revival opportunity: Invite and Bring unchurched friends to the LCT Pray for the choir and the rest of the LCT team to be ready and healthy as they run the marathon of sharing Christ via the Tree Intercede for our singular Chip Colee as he provides skillful and Christ-exalting leadership to this extensive and complex endeavor Secure the times of the broadcasts and encourage people to connect through the television version of the LCT The Lottie Moon Christmas prayer emphasis and offering opportunity will be propelled by Duane Ostrem this Sunday. Duane is one of the 8 primary mission leaders for the IMB. He supervises the work of hundreds of missionaries in Southeast Asia. Duane is a powerful proclaimer of the gospel and he will motivate your engagement in God s mission endeavors.
