EASTER MISSIONS OFFERING One way we can share the Good News is through our gifts to our annual Easter Missions Offering. Our goal for the 2016 Easter Missions Offering is $20,000 and the total given so far is $17,766. MUSIC AND MISSIONS END OF YEAR CELEBRATION--MAY 11 All families with children and preschoolers are invited to join us on Wednesday, May 11 for a night of fun and fellowship to celebrate another fantastic year of music and missions. We will have activities for families, Kona Ice, and games led by our new FLC Director, David Keel. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. (following dinner). We hope to see you there! FIVE POINTS 5K: RUN, WALK, VOLUNTEER! It s almost time to GO! The Five Points 5K is this Saturday morning, but it s not too late to register or volunteer. Registration fee is $30/person. A CELEBRATION OF GRACE MAY 15 On Sunday, May 15, we will have a special worship service to dedicate the Celebrating Grace Hymnals and new pew Bibles that have been placed in the Sanctuary. The service will feature dynamic hymn settings for the congregation and include choral selections and orchestral arrangements of favorite hymns. Plan to join us and invite a friend. KINDERMUSIK COMES TO HBBC MAY 16, JUNE 13, AND JULY 25 We are excited to announce the launch of Kindermusik at HBBC as part of the Hayes Barton Baptist School of Music. Classes will be led by Kindermusik Maestro, Joy Cogswell, who has taught Kindermusik for 26 years. This summer, we will have three Kindermusik playdates, for children ages 16 months to 4 years old: May 16, June 13, and July 25. To register for Playdates, you may call the church office and speak with Patty Pace, fill out a form (found at the Welcome Center or in the main hallway) and drop it in the box outside of the church office, or go online to www.hbbc.org/kindermusikplaydates. We hope you ll join us and spread the word about this amazing opportunity for preschoolers! GRADUATE RECOGNITION SUNDAY Graduate Recognition Sunday is June 5. All families who have a high school or college graduate need to notify Ward no later than Sunday, May 29. Please provide a nice photo of the graduate, plus full name, institution of learning, degree achieved, any future plans and favorite scripture. SUMMER NIGHTS CONCERT SERIES BEGINS JUNE 8 On June 8 at 7:00 PM, Hayes Barton Baptist Church kicks off its Summer Nights with the first of three Summer Concerts, a trio of flute, oboe and trombone. Featuring our Hayes Barton Orchestra musicians, this summer concert is a can t miss! Children are welcome, and childcare will be provided for children birth-age two. After the concert, we would love to have you join us for Ice Cream in the Fellowship Hall. Summer Nights will continue July 6 with a vocal duo, and August 3 with trumpet, organ and strings.
