Carefully cut along this line and remove this instruction page PRIMARY PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS - STAGE 1 (7-8 years) PARENTS PLEASE REMEMBER: Your children look for and need your support, encouragement, and ideas when working on their projects, but the actual work on each page must be the child s own work. Please obtain and read the booklet GUIDELINES TO GOOD PROJECTS. Remember that the layout and size of the pictures on each page must not be altered, to ensure fairness in marking. When you have finished your project, cover the project and decorate it. You could write some words which give a title to your project. It may be The Good News of the Kingdom or a suitable quote. You may like to add a picture about your lessons on the front. To protect your project you may wish to cover it with plastic or contact. Hand your project in to your Sunday School Superintendant by the due date, 21st JULY 2013 PLEASE NOTE: Show" means you may choose to draw, paint, glue, use collage or any other technique to illustrate the subject. Colour means you may use pencils, paint, crayon, textas, or glued on colour to make your picture attractive. Write means you may write with pencil, biro, texta etc or you may choose to use letraset or any other way to tell your answer in words. Page 1 Colour the Contents Page as neatly as you can. Page 2 The Creation (Lesson 1) 1. In each numbered part of the circle, show what God made on the corresponding day of Creation OR you may like to colour the pictures on the cut out page and glue them in. Glue them in the correct part of the circle for each day. Cut around the circle on the cut out page and glue it onto thin card (be careful not to cut right into the centre). Colour it when it has dried. 2. Colour the pictures of Adam and Eve. 3. Fill in the missing words. 4. THE VERY LAST THING TO DO ON YOUR PROJECT: Punch a hole through the centre and fix the circle over the drawings with a split pin. Page 3 Cain and Abel (Lesson 4) 1. Show Cain s offering on his altar and then show Abel s offering on his altar. 2. Put flames on the offering which God accepted (you could use red, orange and yellow cellophane or anything else you can think of for the flames). 3. Underneath each name, draw Cain s face and Abel s face AFTER God had seen their offering. 4. On the line at the bottom of your page, neatly write the answer to the following question: Question: Which offering was God pleased with? Page 4 Noah s Ark (Lesson 5) 1. Colour the Ark. 2. Colour the door on the cut out page and then cut it out. Bend it along the dotted line and then glue down the bottom edge so that the door will open. 3. Show Noah in the Ark together with some of the animals. Some of the animals may be walking out of the Ark! 4. Colour the rainbow on the cut out page - start by colouring the top red, then next to the red, the other colours - orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Cut out the rainbow and arrange it above the picture of the Ark. Only use a little glue on the small folded edge of the rainbow because you will need to lift it up and write the answer to the question underneath. Follow the correct path through the maze and help Eliezer on his journey to find a wife for Isaac. Starting in the top left hand corner at the letter "D" collect letters on the CORRECT path to make an important sentence. Add the letters in the spaces provided at the bottom of the page. 2. Colour the page neatly. Page 7 Joseph (Lessons 13 ) 1. Colour the page neatly. 2. Show Joseph in the chariot waving to Ephraim and Manasseh, or use the picture of Joseph on the cut out page. 3. Fill in the missing words at the bottom of the page. Page 8 Baby Moses (Lesson 16) 1. Join the dots from 1 to 30. Colour the page and show baby Moses in the basket. You may like to cover him with a blanket made out of scrap material. 2. Complete the verse at the bottom of the page. Page 9 The Ten Plagues (Lesson 18-19) 1. God brought ten plagues upon Egypt. List them on the lines provided next to the correct number. 2. In each box show the relevant plague. Page 10 The Passover (Lesson 20) 1. Colour the page neatly. 2. Colour and cut out the correct food that was eaten on the night of the Passover from the cut out page. Stick the correct food on the table. 3. Colour and cut out the door on the cut out page. Fold the tab and stick it on the page. 4. Show blood on the door posts and lintel that ensured the angel of death passed over the house sparing the firstborn from death. 5.
