A nursery room is in the basement WORSHIP NOTES Our Annual Prayer Day Service will be held this week Wednesday, at 7 pm Mr. Greg Steggerda, of Orange City, will be leading us in worship next Sunday. Reminder to 6 th 12 th grade Catechism students to please take Sermon notes. CONGREGATIONAL NOTES With Pastor Al s retirement announcement, the Council is beginning to plan ahead. If anyone would like to be a part of the Search Committee for our next Pastor, please let one of the Elders know. At this point, we are thinking of having 7 10 people on the committee. Cary Serve 2019: Sign-up TODAY for our church s Serve trip to Cary, MS. Dates are June 14-22. As of today we have 16 signed up! Sign-up deadline is March 24. 1 st team meeting is Sunday, April 7 at 2:00 pm. Quilt Days are drawing near! March 19 (Tues.) will be a complete day of work, beginning at 9 am and working until 4 pm, with lunch provided at noon. March 20 (Weds.) will be from 1 4 pm, if needed. Since many of our quilters are rejoicing in glory or are no longer able to work, we need people! Come when it works for you; and if you re not an experienced quilter, there are jobs for every skill level. (Especially needed people to sew around edges of quilts. We hope to have sewing machines available, if you aren t able to bring yours). This is a day of fellowship as well as helping many needy people. So, come! Join us! Your efforts are a blessing! SCS Auxiliary Pancake Supper - Come to Sanborn Christian School on Wed., March 27 for our Pancake Supper! The Sanborn Fire Dept will be makin and serving delicious pancakes and sausages, along w/coffee, juice, and milk. Food will be served from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the school gym. Additional Announcements Round-Up Information at Sanborn Christian - If you are interested in sending your child to either kindergarten or preschool for the 2019/2020 school year please fill out the round-up information sheet that was found in February s School Bell; or if you know of a family who might be interested in SCS, please contact the school office. While doing your spring cleaning keep Bargain Alley Thrift Store in Hull in mind. They accept donations of clothing, furniture, toys, books, home decor, seasonal goods, hardware, linens, antiques/collectibles, jewelry, sporting goods, shoes and boots that are in good condition. Located at 1103 Maple St. one block east of the downtown stop sign in Hull they also will come to you if you have furniture or a full load to make it worth the trip. Please do not leave items at the door when no one is in attendance. Help support Christian educat Dordt College Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra concert ~ Friday, March 22 at 7:30 pm in B.J. Haan Auditorium. This free concert is part of a spring tour with performances scheduled in South Dakota, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Iowa. CONGREGATIONAL LIFE Terry Van Dyke will be leaving this afternoon for Mao Clinic in Rochester, for evaluations on how his liver and kidneys are functioning. Jon Sybesma continues treatment for cancer. Pray for complete healing. Ryan Vos s membership has been transferred to the Community Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, at his request. May God bless him in his new church home. Asia ~ Pray for the Lord to transform lives through 15 new English Biblebased Literacy classes in central Nepal. Pray God will give wisdom to the teachers as they share the Gospel through this ministry. Europe ~ Praise the Lord for His Word being shared in a completely Muslim village in Albania. Pray for the 10 people in a Project Philip Bible study to discover the truth of God's Word and boldly share the Gospel in their village.
