The term Kingdomtide was first used in 1937 in a book sponsored by the former Federal Council of Churches as a name for the half year between the Day of Pentecost and Advent, during which churches were urged to emphasise Jesus teachings concerning the Kingdom of God. The liturgical colour for this season is green, symbolising growth in Christ. YOUTH MINISTRY 9. YOUTH CAMP 2018 FORT Youth Ministry is excited to announce the details of this year s youth camp! We hope that all our youths (11-25 years old) will be able to join us for 4D3N of encountering God and committing our lives to Him. Our hope is that through this camp, our youths can learn the importance of finding their rest and strength in Christ, surrendering all their hopes and fears to Him. YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY 10. YOUNG ADULTS ABIDE IN YAHWEH (YAAY) We know that being a Young Adult Christian isn t easy. We may get caught up in the daily grind and demands of work, studies or family. We may wonder if our lives are withering away without purpose. Christ the Vine, however, invites you to abide in Him. The Young Adults Ministry brings you a two-part event today Young Adults Abide in Yahweh (YAAY) to help you draw near to The Vine. Exchange - Witness how passion meets purpose at this gathering of local Christian entrepreneurs. Hear stories of how God inspired them to use their God-given talents to make His name known. There will not be sales during this event. YAAY Workshops - Join us as we explore questions like: How do we live out our Christian walk at each stage of life? How do we find purpose in glorifying God where He has placed us? Participants may choose to attend up to 2 workshops from the line-up below. CHRISTMAS DECORATION WORKSHOP Let s gather together to assemble dried pine cones, seed pods, poinsettia, red berries, ribbons, glittering balls and even recycled Christmas wreaths Arm yourself with a hot glue gun, and pliers (if you have) and, a pair of strong scissors and allow our creative minds to arrange a rustic arrangement for our homes at Christmas.
