This will be a saving on postage, as well as a saving on embarrassment for having sent a letter to someone who has passed away. If there is anything else helpful that you know about former alumni, please call with this information, also. It will be very much appreciated! Our school s number is 762-6125. Music Practice for the congregation! Since we are using new music according to the new Roman Missal, everyone knows that we need some practice in that. So 10 minutes before all our weekend Masses, we will be going through some practice with our music. This is something we have to do for sometime until we get used to that. So please try to be in the church at least 10 minutes before the Mass! Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Historical Note Wednesday, April 25th is the memorial of St. Mark, writer of the second Gospel of the New Testament. Mark is sometimes called John Mark, and he accompanied St. Paul and St. Barnabas on their missionary journey through the Island of Cyprus. St. Mark wrote his Gospel sometime before 60 C. E., probably in Rome. After St. Peter s arrest by Herod Agrippa in Judea & after being saved by angels, St. Peter journeyed to Rome. Somewhere along the way he took on St. Mark as a travel companion & interpreter. Having written his Gospel, St. Mark traveled to Alexandria, Egypt where he founded the Church of Alexandria, which today is claimed by Coptic Christians. Elements of their rites can be traced to St. Mark himself.. St. Mark was the first Bishop of Alexandria and the founder of Christianity in Africa. He is the patron saint of notaries.
