Please send your full name & email IDs to the following email address: DFWHindu@yahoo.com Thank you -Temple Management Dear Devotees, As a chairman of the Board of Trustees, I extend my Greetings to each and every one for the year 2011. We all have witnessed what we have achieved in the last 20 years by the unity and co-operation from each and everyone from a humble beginning to a very unique Temple. Extension of Yagnashala and Vidya Vikas school will be soon another mile stone of our Temple. I am looking forward to serve our Temple with an excellent Board of Trustees and its Executive Members. Your continuous Devotional support and Unity is greatly appreciated. May God bless us all in serving our Temple. 2 Sincerely Vinoda Kumar Chairman, Board of Trustees

Sincerely Bhasy Nair (President) Message from the President Dear Devotees, My humble pranams to everyone. I am extremely honored and consider it a great blessing to serve as the President of the EC committee of our temple for the calendar year 2011. I accept my new responsibilities with humble prayers and seek blessings from God Almighty for a successful mission. The Temple is blessed to have a team of very dedicated and devoted team of Pundits/Priests from different parts of India to help fulfill the religious and ritualistic needs of devotees from all over India. We have a large team of volunteers who have created a huge footprint for the Temple. Religious and cultural events are held on a regular basis in parallel with our traditions and festivals in India based on panchangas. The Temple is also becoming the popular center for marriages, special private poojas, graduation functions, cultural arangettam etc. 2010 was a year of many milestones and each of them would not have been possible without the help and giving from all our priests, devotees and volunteers. There were many special religious events conducted like the three day Sahasra Linga Archana and the seven day Bhagavath Katha Discourse etc. Our temple was fortunate to have the Dwajastambham installed last year - first one in North Texas. As you may have already noticed, the long awaited construction of the New Vidya Vikas building and the ground floor of the proposed Yagnasala are nearing completion. This will add an additional 16 class rooms to enhance the efforts of the volunteer teachers to improve the learning experience of the Students at Vidya Vikas, as enrollment increases every year. I want to take a minute to applaud the persistence and endurance of all the Volunteer teachers of the religious, language and SAT classes and parents who take the extra effort to instill the religious and cultural aspects of our heritage in our younger generations. Last year we inaugurated the Mural Project. The Cultural Hall is now a treasurehouse of mural paintings depicting many significant events from the Puranas. The murals have added to the grandeur of our cultural hall and are remarkable with the colors and dignity. We expect to have them completed, with the attractive lighting schemes in the first quarter of this year. Plans are underway to improve and enhance the audio system in the Cultural Hall and also to improve the acoustics effect in the Auditorium. We have also initiated a new project to keep our Temple clean and beautiful Sundar project. We will be launching a new service Shubh-Lagna-Sanyog in February for the young adults, see more details in this Archana. Some of the events coming up soon are the Maha -Shivaratri on Wednesdy, March 2 nd with the celebration on March 6-th and the Holi and the popular Anand Bazar on Sunday, March 20 th. In May we have planned the celebration of twenty years of Mahalakshmi PranaPrathishta three day events during memorial day weekend. Please check the temple calendar, posture boards and emails for updates; we look forward to everyone s participation in all upcoming events. People with different cultures and backgrounds come together to pray here and our diversity welcomes all under one umbrella as the Ekta Mandir. The past leadership under Sandhyaben has strengthened this effort; I want to leverage off the efforts of all our past Presidents to continue to align and work under one Brand as Ekta Mandir. I request you to help us by sending us ideas that can improve devotee experience. please email us at DFWHindu@yahoo.com. The primary focus this year will be targeted more towards enhancing the devotional enlightenment and fulfillment of the devotees, as we finally complete the infrastructure development at the Temple. May I request your active whole hearted participation and support in the devotional activities as the volunteers, priests, Managers and others work together to bring everyday/special pujas, religious discourses and cultural events. Wishing you all a Very Happy and Prosperous New year and looking forward to another devotionally fulfilling year for everyone.. Message from Past President (2010) Namaste Devotees and Jai Shri Krishna, It has been a blessing and an honor to serve the D/FW Hindu Temple in my role as President in 2010. I have had the pleasure to take part in many spiritual and festive events, and I am proud to see that the Temple continues to bring together our diverse Indian communities. We promoted Hinduism in a variety of ways, starting with the growth of offerings in our Vidya Vikas School. By instilling our culture and religion in our children at an early age, we continue to make the best kind of investment in our Temple. We also promoted several religious programs during the year to nourish and reaffirm our love for God. In 2010, we were privileged to have our Prana Prathisthapana & Kumbhabishekam of Dwajastambham, a hallmark for our Temple. We started the Radio Archana program every Saturday at 4pm on AM 700. We celebrated Navratri, Diwali and Ayyappa Swamy Mandala Puja. I have served this Temple for over 15 years, and my role as 2010 President was truly a special privilege. Our Temple is blessed with devoted priests, excellent staff, and dedicated volunteers. The entire Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees have helped us greatly to conduct the affairs of the Temple with full devotion and trust. I want to thank all the volunteers and donors who helped us make all of the events of this year possible, and I look forward to working with each of you again in the future. We welcome all suggestions for improvement and we will carefully evaluate them. While my term as President has come to an end, I am confident that our new President, Mr. Bhasy Nair, will continue to promote Hinduism and bring our Temple to even higher levels. As always, I will continue to support our Temple.
