COMPLETE VICTORY IN CHRIST August 2018 Newsletter of Shekinah/ Kalibu Ministries Issue 283 Kingdom Life In Action Precious Partners & Friends What an explosive past six weeks we have just encountered. We officially opened Kalibu Primary School, hosted a conference of 500 pastors and enjoyed dynamic supporters from Finland and USA as they ministered in our local churches. The ministry teams were excellent. Now, I have just walked into my cottage from yet another and very eventful trip to northern Uganda. The purpose of this adventure was to hold a conference for all spiritual leaders within the refugee camps and establish God's direction not only for the camps but also for the return of the exiles and the spiritual future of South Sudan. Kalibu Ministries is the perfect organization to be used of the blessed Holy Spirit for such a purpose. We are not about church and denomination but about the Kingdom. We are a non-denominational parachurch organization with an honoured track record in South Sudan. We are an organization of love and have proven this in many practical ways. All of these powerful testimonies have established Kalibu as trusted by all churches and the powerful conference was testimony to this fact. There were as many as 200 delegates for each session of the four days conference. The logistics for such an endeavour were enormous but the fruit of the effort is a huge testimony of what is achievable with perseverance. The conference quickly slipped effortlessly into the subject of forgiveness under the banner of the Kingdom command, IF YOU WILL NOT FORGIVE NEITHER WILL YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER FORGIVE YOU. In a conference where most delegates have lost someone in this genocide, bitterness and unforgiveness were the order of the day. As the conference progressed delegates were set free and people's lives dramatically changed. The key teaching throughout the conference was to show the difference between the church and the kingdom and how the church is selfish and divisive and all about men and their personal domain. It became apparent to all that church leaders have failed in both their individual as well as collective responsibility to present a victorious, conquering, overcoming bridegroom and setting a standard of God's Word in the nation. Kingdom Life In Action (Cont.) Out of Africa August 2018 Page 2 However anyone wishes to criticize President Trump, the man has set up the standard of God's Word in the land and circumstances are changing. Whatever happens in any nation is determined by the depth of God's Word or a lack thereof. Where there is the presence of the Lord in tangible power, the hardships of life simply softens away and this is exactly what happened during the conference. As delegates were melted in God's presence, His mercy and grace began to flow amongst them with deep healing of the soul as the response. This is KINGDOM LIFE outworking in the lives of those who open the door to the obedience and therefore the love of Christ. The focus was on the powerful teaching of the Word and not preaching. Africa desperately needs the teaching of solid doctrine that will give confidence to believers after that they have Godly knowledge that genders to edification. The plans the Lord has for the work in Africa are enormous and explosive. We will be back in South Sudan and have key centers from South Sudan all the way down the Continent to Malawi and beyond. We are an "old fashioned" missionary organization believing in true sacrifice and dedicated service, not seeking after worldly riches but the best for the people to whom we minister. We are not about church but the Kingdom and our passion is to see young men and women raised up and operating in the five-fold ministry. We positively hate the prosperity cult and phoniness at all levels of ministry. If you are young in heart and willing to work without promise of any material reward and are obedient then there is a place for you. All we really desire is for you to have a heart of love and dedication and commitment to the vision and be a true Kingdom vessel who is willing to take up his or her cross and die.

Out of Africa August 2018 Page 3 2018 AFRICA MISSION TRIP TESTIMONIES This was my fifth trip to Malawi. I got an opportunity to visit five different places there. At first we visited three places, where we arranged concert-type meetings and preached the Word. In Nsanje, Phalombe and Nkhotakota people were flocking to the meetings, and a dense dustcloud was rising from the ground when the people praised God with dancing. Those people who wanted healing or salvation were prayed for in the meetings. After that we visited two places, where the members of the team had more responsibility to teach God s Word. The topic on my sermon changed in the church in Zomba, when God started to speak about what it is to be a friend of God. Somehow the topic fitted to this trip, when I saw the enormous need in the nation and my own limited resources. I understood that we are called to do only what God gives us to do at each time, not more or less. And that it s not about our sermons or about what we can give or do in the nations, but it s about how we can glorify God. Our team complemented each other well while ministering, and following day many people came to testify about healings they had experienced in the meeting. The last meetings were in a two new church-branches in the region of Chikwawa. There I saw a big need for teaching, but also the thirst and excitement of the people towards God was really moving. In the Pastor s Conference at Kalibu Headquarters, a local Pastor came to testify how many people had joined their church after our visit. Even a short visit may have eternal impact to people s lives. Mika K. Finland More than 500 people attended the conference held in Nsanje Malawi this year. There was preaching, praising God and a Gospel concert with our visiting friend Gail Kreason from Nevada. She blessed the crowds that gathered at Phalombe too, singing her songs from her newly released album ALL NATIONS WORSHIP

Out of Africa - August 2018 - Page 4 KALIBU PRIMARY SCHOOL- OFFICIAL OPENING It was an exciting evening in the newly opened Primary School Hall, on June 24th Kalibu Primary School had its official opening. Pastor Dutch Vandervlucht came from Ohio to officiate the proceedings. Parents, family and friends joined our primary students to celebrate. Songs, poems, performances and speeches were made. The school opened with the blessing of Malawi s Ministry of Education where the official expressed the need for a primary school with high moral and academic standards, and Kalibu Primary was the perfect example to the nation of such a school. The parents were excited to see their children show their talents that night, and the kids were the most excited. They had worked for weeks on their songs, poems and performances, and that night they shined and showed how excited they were about their school. Pastor Dutch opened Kalibu Academy in 2007 and it was his first visit to Malawi since then. He was a welcomed friend to those of us who have seen the work in Malawi grow to include these amazing schools. The Primary school Principal and staff are really committed to educate their students and also give them an environment of love to nurture each child with the love of God. What an amazing ministry this school is to the nation of Malawi and its future leaders.

Out of Africa - August 2018 - Page 5 KALIBU ELDERLY CLINIC GETS ELECTRICITY! We are happy to announce that the Kalibu Elderly Clinic now has electricity! The lines were hung, transformer installed and electricity is now flowing to our clinic. For four long years we have been waiting and interceding for electricity to reach our rural clinic. This Clinic has been a huge blessing to the hundreds of elderly who live in the surrounding villages, and has been used by God to bring many of them to Christ and physical health. Our housing project is moving forward, this year already we have constructed four new homes for our formerly homeless grannies and grandpa s. Please continue to pray, as now our dental clinic and future operating room must be opened and staffed. If you are a doctor, dentist or nurse and would like to come and be a part of this work please contact us. Or if you would like to build a house for one of them the cost is $500. Call 567-286-0105 or email: shekmin@aol.com AMONG THE REFUGEES Jim and I had the opportunity to go to Bidibidi Refugee Camp and spend time with the refugees and Kalibu ministry team there. Our days began at 5:30am with morning intercession with the pastor and our team. After breakfast we would visit various refugees and hear their stories and pray for them. James, a close neighbor to our Kalibu Base camp, was one of these. He had been in South Sudan at his garden when the government soldiers attacked. It was night, he was in his hut sleeping, when he came out they attacked him with machetes cutting his head, arms and legs. They moved on when they thought he was dead, but he was able to drag himself to help. His neighbor arranged transport to the border and then on to a refugee hospital. His leg injuries were so serious they had to amputate one leg to above the knee. He stays alone in the camp, in a small UN tent pitched in the hot sun. He was put here near the hospital, and is improving and in touch with his family. In the afternoons we would tour the camp, visiting the facilities like the hospital and new schools built there. Each person we met had their own story of terror or trauma and displacement. As we met the Ugandan officials over the camp, they all welcomed us so warmly. The Office of the Prime Minister and Ugandan Police encouraged our visit and told of how important it is to the refugees, to hear messages of hope, and have someone come and stay in the camp to encourage them. Kalibu Ministries has a good name among all we met. We are not new to the South Sudanese people. With the work done there since 1997 many know us from the time of our Bible School and work there.

AMONG THE REFUGEES (Cont.) Out of Africa - August 2018 - Page 6 God did miracles as we ministered to the women, children and those that came in need. One sister who attended the women s meeting stayed after to give her life to the Lord. She was in the camp with her three children, since 2016. Her husband was still in South Sudan, she hadn t heard from him in three years. But, the Lord came in to her life. She came two days later to visit me, bringing her friend who needed prayer. She was so changed, smiling, happy and so full of love. Her friend had ulcers, and had a lot of stress in the home. Her husband complaining that she was not conceiving a child. She was so under pressure, she went to the witchdoctor for help, but no improvement. As I sat listening to her story, I knew God would come and minister to her and change her life. Others told of violence in the camps, girls being raped if walking in the camp too late at night. Others spoke of domestic violence, where the women are the abusers and the husbands and children the victims. Our Kalibu pastor s wife was at Bidibidi before. Her first time the rebels came from Sudan into the camp, slaughtering and killing. She narrowly escaped by diving in a river and hiding in a hole in the riverbank. She did not want to return to Bidibidi, but her and her family are safe now. Three faithful Malawian pastors have made Bidibidi their second home. They were the first to answer the call to go to the camps last year. In total they have spent more than 8 months there since last summer. They have left their homes, families and churches to be missionaries among the refugees in northern Uganda. They brought their skills with them too, and so, when they are not ministering they are working. They built the ministry center that we held the conference in. They are now building accommodation for visiting missionaries, that will be near the center. Pastor Gondwe worked on the vehicle we drove to Uganda, he is a mechanic. We were there when these men arrived after a month absence. It was like true loved ones returning to their families, the love of our Bidibidi family is so great for these men. When Pastor Michael came for the Leader s Conference it was interesting to see leaders from most of the denominational churches come. Some wearing clerical collars, others in high church positions, women, young and old. It was amazing to witness the Holy Spirit minister to these people and speak messages from the heart of the Father to them. Their testimonies after, testimonies of forgiveness, revelation and a new determination to serve the Lord and be living witnesses to Him, were confirmation that the work for Kalibu Ministries is only starting afresh among the refugees. If you are interested to minister to the refugees or offer other skills for the work, please contact our office at Tel. 567-286-0105 or email shekmin@aol.com Funds are needed at this time as we construct accommodation, hold conferences and pay for the team staying in the camp. Your gifts are greatly appreciated. The Kalibu Team visiting at Bidibidi

Out of Africa - August 2018 - Page 7 A LETTER WRITTEN TO SOUTH SUDAN WAR CRIMES: PEACE AND RECONCILIATION An Open Letter to the Leadership of South Sudan: Your Excellency, I suffered with you, bled with you and was willing to die with you and for you during the war of freedom from Khartoum. I was with you when your own young soldiers rampaged through the villages and raped grandmothers, killed grandfathers and pillaged and plundered the very population who had fed and gave sanctuary to those same freedom fighters turned terrorists. Why were they so angry? Because commanders had taken their spoils of war and sold it for personal gain. I watched in horror, NOT SILENCE as the SPLA leadership said nothing and did nothing to bring accountability and closure to what was nothing short of terrorism and terrorism of the country's own population by its own population. I spoke out. I counselled the grieving and humiliated and provided whatever assistance I had available to those same people who had so suffered. I have a RIGHT TO SPEAK NOW. The horrors of the Rwandan genocide - I was there - still haunt the world with the guilt and shame of having done nothing. South Sudan is another Rwanda. Finger pointing and blaming will never solve the issues. What South Sudan needs is truth and reconciliation. It is time for Southern Sudanese to face the REALITY of who they truly are and change. Change will only come through CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE and it must begin with the leaders: with the PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT; with their Excellencies Salva Kiir and Riak Machar leading the way and everyone following suit from the Ministers and MPs in parliament to the least villager who is stained with guilt and shame. SOUTH SUDAN NEEDS, nay MUST HAVE a PEACE AND RECONCILIATION COMMISSION. Nothing will change until there is confession and repentance and every person in South Sudan has the opportunity to CONFESS and REPENT of all their criminal sins. Until and unless this is done, the nation of South Sudan will always live in suspicion of one another, tribal hatred, finger pointing and revenge. This is the price of the burden of GUILT AND SHAME. It turns men into BRUTE BEASTS. What are the sins of South Sudan? 1. ANGER and VIOLENCE must lead the way. I have seldom met such an angry people as Southern Sudanese. It is a demonic spirit that requires, nay, DEMANDS NATIONAL REPENTANCE. 2. GREED for often, UNLAWFUL GAIN. The example of President Zuma of South Africa should be an example for all Africans of which I am one. The greed for gain and often DIRTY GAIN has torn South Sudan apart. What a country this is, blessed of God with such abundant natural resources. But all these resources are wasted because of a ruling passion amongst South Sudanese for stealing and unlawful gain. Ask me. I know. I was the victim of leaders stealing my cattle, my vehicles and my property. ALL OF THIS I HAVE FORGIVEN. ALL OF THE MEN WHO PERPETRATED SUCH CRIMES AGAINST ME, I HAVE FORGIVEN AND CHOOSE TO LOVE THOSE SAME MEN. There is no anger or revenge in my heart. I am FREE! (To be continued next month)
