MORE Than Part 3 by Ps Larry Elliott Far-More Ephesians 3:20-21 MSG God can do anything, you know far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us Firstly: God can do anything, you know far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! God is saying, wherever you find yourself living and whatever you are facing today - He can do FAR MORE - The emphasis is on HIM, not us. - We are limited by our own human thinking and mindset / He calls our attention away from natural things and puts our FOCUS on imagination dreams etc all unseen and spiritual things (Vision / Goals / Future) - Our God can take every limitation that life has put on us either: a) By yourself b) By others c) By the enemies attacks d) Or through our circumstances, and expand your heart and purpose in a way that is bigger, higher and more effective than anything we could imagine. BUT only if we take our MINDS / WILL / EMOTION off where you currently are! Secondly: He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us He starts to show us HOW this will take place. Notice # He does it not outwardly, but INWARDLY, the most incredible things God does, are not outward but inward, and then the outward stuff He does is generated by the INWARD... (the things people have done or given when motivated from the inward man always produce the best results - that s why JESUS is so big on motives and attitudes / that s the difference between RELIGION & RELATIONSHIP. # GOD s not a monster forcing us to do what we don t want to, no He works DEEPLY & GENTLY within us. WILL YOU ALLOW HIM ACCESS TODAY? # Jesus said He would send the HELPER, The Holy Spirit into our lives to do this WORK. So this is a very good starting point for us. JOHN 16:6-7 AMP But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [and taken complete possession of them]. But I tell you the truth, it is to your
advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor--Counselor, Strengthener, Stand-by) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you]. Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. POWER: doo'-nam-is - force (literally or figuratively); - miraculous power (usually by implication a miracle itself) - ability, abundance, meaning, - might a deed of strength or a mighty (wonderful) work WORKETH: en-erg-eh'-o - to be active, efficient - do or be effectual (fervent) - be mighty in, shew forth self, work (effectually in). - Let it be your permanent position / word; to work); toil (as an effort or occupation); by This Scripture then IMPLIES growing and understanding MORE about the character and nature of God and His desire to see each and every one of us blessed and living in our purpose. 4 Things (all beginning with GO) Go Prepare Yourself to HEAR The Holy Spirit will help you with all things But we must tune our spirits IN and listen intently / pay attention / with a mind to obey! John 14:26 NKJV But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. God wants to assist us in all things by teaching and reminding us of what JESUS has said I Corinthians 2:9-16 NKJV But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also
speak, not in words which man s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1. Be Available Be available to hear from Him! God desires to speak to you Allocate time and space in your daily schedule to hear from God. 2. Practice without Fear Practice, Practice, Practice don t let fear rob you of that. Obedience inspired by faith unveils the hidden things of God. 3. Worship in the spirit Time is God s presence is the POWER center of every believer. Simple honest engagement with your Daddy. Growth in the spirit increases through a desire for childlike worship Go In Peace John 14:27 NKJV Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 3 John 2 NKJV - wish above all things Just like a child looks to its parents for everything, we can look to God. A childlike PEACE that relies more and more on God s ability and wisdom than our own. Little children BOAST on their parents like they can do just about anything, as we get older that changes as we realize that they too are just human, but our experience with God is exactly opposite, the more we get to know Him the more we realize He can do anything, and our BOASTING of Him isn t empty. My daddy THE SUPER HERO can do anything, Psalm 34 Go Higher in Prayer Luke 6:27-28 NKJV But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
We must not think that prayer is simply asking God for things. Prayer is deep fellowship with your father and engaging with him as we are dealing with and coping in difficult situations. Prayer is diligent seeking His presence, power and purpose Firstly we GO to hear from God, but then He turns His ear toward US... Psalm 34:4 NKJV I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. SOUGHT: Implies a quest for God that includes a deep level of intensity beyond what would be called ordinary prayer It borders on a desperate earnest diligence pursuit that won t let go of its desired objective to CONNECT with the TRUE God! GO...don t STOP there s MORE for You. Deuteronomy 1:6-8 NKJV The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighbouring places in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates. See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give to them and their descendants after them. Often we spend time trying to figure everything out, solve our problems, but serving JESUS is a work in process, what are YOU DOING for Him? - Forget yourself and your circumstance - Serve with your GIFT, - Give of your resources - GET GOING! The MORE that God wants to bring out of our lives will center around the Gifts, Talents and THINGS He has already given us, PRESSED by the things we are facing or working through daily...not easy - it s a PRESS! His plan for you is a good one and He is very creative about each of our lives and has lavished us all with amazing gifts and talents that will lead us towards our purpose and fulfilment. JAMES 1:17 AMP Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].
~ You haven t yet reached capacity and some of us think we have that s our problem... ~ It s our responsibility as Pastors of this ministry (and it s an honour) to steward / develop the gifts within people s lives. So for a moment let me encourage you: You are gifted. You are talented. You are favoured by God And your gifts are good and perfect ~ You have what it takes in Christ and you have something in your LIFE, your hand that can be the catalyst for your NEW BEGINNING: Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. At some point we all need a refreshing, we all need newness in our lives. It s the Word and the Holy Spirit that will bring that into our hearts. Maybe the new thing you are trusting Him for will take supernatural intervention or breakthrough. We serve a God of breakthrough. Both freedom and provision are promises that accompany a new thing. In what area of your life do you need supernatural breakthrough, or God s intervention, or provision and freedom? Remember we serve the God of MORE and He will give you the turnaround you need. The enemy desires to hold you back and destroy your relationship with God but He desires to HELP into that new place of healing, victory and discovery of your higher purpose and fulfilment. Maybe you, too, have reached an end. Maybe you, too, long for something new but have found the road to be bumpy. God always has a way forward; you just need to keep moving. It s time to GO; GO; GO...
