Luke :34-3 Guard Your Heart, Eyes and Ears 34 Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is bad, your body is filled with darkness. 3 Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. 3 If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light. Matthew : Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. 3But when your eye is bad, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! Hebrews 4:1 1 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Isaiah :- Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD! For the LORD has rejected his people, the descendants of Jacob, because they have filled their land with practices from the East and with sorcerers, as the Philistines do. They have made alliances with pagans. Proverbs :- So listen to me, my sons, and pay attention to my words. Don t let your hearts stray away toward her. Don t wander down her wayward path. For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims. Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of death. Philippians 4: And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Proverbs : Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. Isaiah 0:- Who among you fears the LORD and obeys his servant? If you are walking in darkness, without a ray of light, trust in the LORD and rely on your God.

But watch out, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves by your own fires. This is the reward you will receive from me: You will soon fall down in great torment. 1 John :1 1 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. Psalm 1:-4 I will be careful to live a blameless life when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. 3 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. 4 I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. Genesis 3: The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. James 1:14-1 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 1 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. Proverbs 4:0-0 My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. 1 Don t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. 3 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. Romans 1: Don t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Proverbs 0: Who can say, I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free from sin?

Psalm 1: Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Luke :4 4 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. Peter 3:-14 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. [a] Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, 1 looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. 13 But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God s righteousness. 14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. Colossians 3:1-3 3 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. 3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. Isaiah :- My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the LORD. And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Proverbs 3:- Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Jeremiah 1: The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? Joshua 1: Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Galatians :- Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit s leading in every part of our lives. Romans :1-1 1 But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, LORD, who has believed our message? 1 So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. 1 John 1:- This is the message we heard from Jesus[a] and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. Thessalonians 3:-4 Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer. 3 But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 4 And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you.

Psalm 34 1 I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart. 3 Come, let us tell of the LORD s greatness; let us exalt his name together. 4 I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the LORD. 1 Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? 13 Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! 14 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. Jeremiah 1: But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve. Matthew : Don t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you. Matthew 1:1-3 1 Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer.1 But the words you speak come from the heart that s what defiles you. 1 For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. 0 These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands will never defile you. Job 31:1-1 I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman. For what has God above chosen for us? What is our inheritance from the Almighty on high?

Proverbs 3:1-1 My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. 3 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. 4 Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. James 1: Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. 1 Timothy :- Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. Ephesians :- A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Galatians :1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. 1 Samuel 1: But the LORD said to Samuel, Don t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.

Matthew :- Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash. Matthew 1:34-3 34 You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. 3 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. 3 And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. Psalm 1:-14 The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living. Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. 1 How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-4 Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. For you remember what we taught you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3 God s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. 4 Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways. Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before. God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives. Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
