NICARUAGUA: During the month of August, Pastor Gordon and Pastor David travelled to Nicaragua to encourage and strengthen our Nicaraguan partners as they live in the midst of political turmoil. They were able to help with the feeding of groups of children and adults two times and teach and encourage our Christian brothers/pastors in the Bible institute in Sebaco. Since April 18th, our Nicaraguan brothers and sisters have experienced a great deal of political oppression as the government has moved towards a dictatorship. They are experiencing financial hardships because of the oppression as well. We are extremely grateful for the exemplary giving that FCF demonstrated in the gifts given toward the Nicaraguan Relief Fund, which Pastors Gordon and David were also able to deliver during their trip in August. HAITI: The Haiti team is firming up plans to conduct a medical mission trip in November. If you would like to be a part of that team, contact Pastor Dave at missions@explorefcf.com Vitamins for Haiti: We are continuing to collect vitamins to take to Haiti for the medical mission. Our goal is to collect 15,000 vitamins to distribute. Donations of non-gummy vitamins can be placed in the FCF Main office through the end of October. If you would like to know more about Global Impact Team opportunities and to hear about upcoming trips, please join us at the monthly Global Impact meeting on September 6 at 7:00 p.m.

We will explore what life was like for the first disciples when Jesus returned to heaven and how God Spirit turned ordinary men into powerhouses of faith and how God can still do the same today! The registration fee is $15 which includes the study guide. Register online at www.explorefcf.com Contact Robin for more information. Last year, FCF took a new approach to trick or treating and preparations are being made to do it again this year. Homes in neighborhoods across the tri-state will be illuminated as much as possible with flood lights, porch lights, and house lights, with the focal point of a lit cross and scripture signs. Teams of 8-10 volunteers hand out hotdogs, chips, lemonade, candy, and a gospel tract -- Sharing Jesus' love with the neighborhood by being a beacon of Light shining brightly for Him. Please be in prayer for this outreach and how YOU can become involved. More information will be shared during the month of September. If you already know you want host to Light the Night at your home or help in a neighborhood, contact Robin Meek.
