God moves in Exodus 35-40 Paul Webber An emerging nation enslaved by an oppressive government; a reluctant leader with a chequered past; a dramatic conflict between spiritual powers; a long walk to freedom, with miraculous provision and words from heaven; a slave nation transformed into the people of God! It's hard to imagine a more page-turning story than the story of Israel's exodus from Egypt. But as we explore it together we will discover that this gripping ancient drama still holds the key that will open the door of freedom to us.
Evening services City - 6.30pm Mark: The Best News Ever! 23 September Why bother with Jesus? Mark 1:1-20 Paul Webber 30 September The good news of the kingdom Mark 1:21-45 Tom Wederell In an interview with the Guardian, wellknown atheist Richard Dawkins said, "Jesus was a great moral teacher. Somebody as intelligent as Jesus would have been an atheist if he had known what we know today." It seems that even his harshest critics can't quite handle the person of Jesus! But who was he really and what did he say about himself? There is no better way to answer that question than to dive into the Gospel of Mark, a fast-paced, action-packed biography of Jesus put together, it seems, in collaboration with one of his closest friends. But beware: this book could just change your life forever! 07 October Real Lives: Billy McCurrie 14 October Tracy Trinita Ravi Zacharias International Ministries Communion 21 October The first signs of trouble Mark 2:1-3:12 Andrew Page 28 October Discipleship: The real thing Mark 3:13-35 Tony Watkins 04 November The mysterious power of God s word Mark 4:1-34 John Risbridger Communion 11 November The awesome power of Jesus Mark 4:35-6:6 Richard Collins 18 November The cost of discipleship Mark 6:7-33 Andrew Page 25 November Jesus: the man for others Mark 6:34-8:10 Andrew Page 02 December Who is Jesus really?
