The Lawrence County Chapter of Tennessee Right to Life has a new meeting location. It will be in the Lawrence County Public Library, but will still meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 pm. This bill compels abortion clinics to post non-coercion policies and to reassure women & girls that help and support with their pregnancies is available. The winners of the pro-life oratory contest which took place on March 27th were Gabrielle Rentschler (1st place) and McKayleh Smith, both of Hohenwald. There will be a Mother s Day Thank You For Life poetry contest which will be open to 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grades. The theme is simply Thank you, Mom, for life. Entries must be submitted by April 28th to P. O. Box 144, Loretto, TN 38469. $15 for 1st place in both categories & $10 for second place. Each winner will also receive a bouquet for his or her mom!
Divine Mercy Sunday-April 11th. The Feast of Divine Mercy will be celebrated on Sunday, April 11th. Jesus Himself related everything that He wished us to know about His Own mercy to Sister Faustina Kowalska, who recorded His words in her diary in the 1930 s. The Church responded by adding the Feast to the church calendar on April 30, 2000. Sister Faustina states that Jesus has promised those who go to Confession & receive Holy Communion on this feast day will receive forgiveness of sins & remission of their punishment. Thus, all Catholics are encouraged to Confess, if in a state of mortal sin, & to receive Communion on Sunday, April 11. We will also have a special devotional service dedicated to Jesus, the Divine Mercy, at 3 pm in the church. Every- Our Nursery Our nursery will be staffed today (04/11) by Christina & Dustin Robertson. On 04/18 the staff will be Chris & Crissinda Johns. Thank You! As we continue celebrating Easter, we thank all those who worked hard in various ways and occasions, such as church cleaning, decoration, music etc. We specially thank Marilyn Lawrence for making all those beautiful banners!
