INSURANCE COVERAGE Insurance check-up for 2014-2015 An insurance check-up can be as important as an annual physical. Unlike many other products, you don t just need money to obtain life insurance, long-term care or disability income insurance. You also need good health, and no one knows when your health could change. Did you take time out of your schedule last year to meet with me? If you did, thank you for seeing me and helping secure your financial future. I will be in touch with you to schedule your annual review to verify that everything is heading in the right direction. We ll make sure that if your goals and budget have changed, your plan still works for you. If you didn t have a meeting with me last year, I hope you will answer my invitation this year. It s a wise idea to have an expert look at your finances. Schedule some time to visit with me, your professional Knights of Columbus insurance agent, and I ll provide an insurance check-up that will quickly identify any gaps in your family s life insurance program. Did I mention my check-up is free of charge? When was the last time you received something for free that could be providing value to you and your family for generations? And I ll come to your house when it fits your schedule. Call me today. Jeffrey Kohuth 772-812-3003 jeffrey.kohuth@kofc.org 9

KAREN FRASCA, PRESIDENT OF THE COLUMBIETTES I am pleased to announce that we held a first degree ceremony on Thursday evening, October 16 th. We installed four new sisters into our organization. See the group picture on next page. Please make them feel welcome at our next meeting which will be held on Thursday October 23 rd at 7 p.m. Thanks you to all who said that they would bring dessert to the Knight s Spaghetti Dinner to be held on Saturday October 25 th. I will email the details as to the time to drop off the goodies. Our brunch event at Pietro s On The River was a big success. The weather was perfect to take a stroll outside to see the beautiful scenery that overlooks the Indian River Lagoon, a marina, and a golf course. The food was plentiful and delicious. If you were unable to attend you missed a wonderful and enjoyable afternoon. It promises to be a busy year. We are working on dates for our wine and cheese and more event as well as a game night and garage sale. We welcome your suggestions and thoughts. God Bless Sincerely, Karen 10

CONGRATULATIONS! KNIGHT OF THE MONTH S.K. JOE LISBOA BROTHER JOE LISBOA Everyone knows Joe Lisboa. Brother Joe is always the first to show up to help, and the last to leave. He helps set-up and clean up after all our fundraising events. Brother Joe is one of those people who is always on the go, and doesn t sit still. Joe is married to Angela and together they make a great team. They both are tireless when it comes to events for the Knights, the Columbiettes and St.Bernadette. Joe is an inside guard for the Knights, and also an usher at the Saturday 4 p.m. Mass. When you see Brother Joe say thanks for all you do, Brother That is why he is Brother of the Month. Again congratulations. 14

Editor s Corner We have a brother Knight in need of our prayers. My good friend S.K. Merritt Stevenson is in rehab after he had a stroke during a procedure. He is progressing nicely, and is working his way back. It would be nice if we could all give him a visit. He surely would welcome the smiling faces of his Knight Brothers. The facility is The Martin Memorial Hospital South on Salerno road, Stuart. Call me if you need directions. When District Deputy, S.K. Joe Martin speaks about our Council, he refers to it as a very active Council. Like every team, the members go above and beyond. We have concentrated on installing new members, having successful fundraisers, and just having some fun. Our auxiliary, the Columbiettes are just as active. We do all this for the friendships we form, but our ultimate goal is to raise money for charity. This is what we do. The rest is a bonus. This is why we ask that you lend a hand for our fundraisers because although it looks like work it is an act of love. The charities we help fund are very grateful for the support we give. They need us and other benefactors, badly. HELP YOUR COUNCIL ACHIEVE THE BEST OUTCOME WE CAN. PLEASE HELP OUT. YOU WILL FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT. COME AND DO SOME GOOD WORK-GOD S WORK Yours in Christ, Brother Tony Frasca Phone 772-672-4719 Cell 401-578-5954 Email a.frasca@comcast.net 15
