Ben Butler 601-856-6058 or email ben@madisonumc.org MADCAAP FOOD PANTRY STILL NEEDS OUR HELP! 56% of Mississippi's senior citizens don't have enough to eat, while 24% of our state's children go to bed hungry (According to MSFN). The most vulnerable in our community must face hunger on a daily basis. MadCAAP's Food Pantry distributes food boxes to 100 client families each week. Without fail, the need far exceeds what MadCAAP has on hand. Your donations of food will enable MadCAAP to continue feeding our elders and our children. Putting food on a family's table demonstrates love for our neighbors. Won't you bring a can of vegetables or fruits, dried beans, canned meats, or cereals to insure that we can continue feeding the hungry in our community? A donation table is located in the Fellowship Hall. James 2:14-16 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, Go in peace; keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

These volunteers as well as the Naomi Ruth Circle, our prayer warriors, decorators, snack providers, and clean-up crew made VBS 2018 an awesome experience for 234 children! It was a fun week of learning that we are rescued by Jesus! EVERYONE had a great time at VBS Including the Tug-of-War contestants, 48 kindergartners warming up their singing voices, and 5th grade Sojourners working in the community garden and doing a craft project! More photos of the fun in the next Messenger!
