Child care open Oct. 17 Report card available via Headmaster Oct. 20 Bonfire and Silent Auction Oct. 26 School Closed. Parent-Teacher Conferences. Child care open. Call for Vendors for BCA Event on Oct. 20 BCA will be holding its annual Bonfire and Silent Auction on the evening of Sat., Oct. 20. As part of the evening's events, we would like to have a variety of vendors including businesses, craft items, baked goods and more to participate. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in participating as a vendor for BCA's fall event, please contact PTL President, Sarah Harr at 901-486-3700 or sarahharr@ymail.com. There is no fee to be a vendor, but a freewill offering would be appreciated to support the event. Proceeds will benefit the school's Parent-Teacher League. Patriot's Day service project! In honor of 9-11, the BCA students wanted to show how much they appreciate the efforts of local police officers and fire fighters as they work to keep citizens safe and for their tireless efforts in responding to all types of emergencies! A few BCA students, accompanied by Principal Topp and Mrs. Tew, BCA's assistant pre-school director, visited the Collegdale police station, the Tri-community volunteer fire station, Chattanooga sheriff's office and the East Ridge fire and police stations to deliver baskets filled with items such as bottled water, snacks, office supplies and more. The items were donated by all of the BCA families as a school-wide service project. BCA Selfies! As part of their lesson on what makes them unique, Mrs. Streufert's fifth graders took selfies and explained what they think makes them special. They learned that they are each fearfully and wonderfully made and are who they are because of God. MONTHLY NEWSLETTER GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH OCTOBER 2018
