Primordial Sound Meditation Lesson Two Personal Instruction Procedure

Purpose of Session 2: Personal instruction, a one-to-one meeting of the teacher and participant. Participant meets privately with you to receive mantra and instruction in its correct use. Session 2 is a ritual or ceremony, or Personal instruction session The session starts with you chanting the Shanti Mantra, and then giving the participant his/her personal mantra, meditating with the participant, making sure he/she is comfortable with the process, writing down the mantra for the participant and having him/her practice a fulll 30-minute meditation.

Instructing the Mantra Ensure participant is comfortable Speak in a calm tone yet loud enough Instruct in use of mantra Ensure pronunciation is correct Answer questions relating to mantra instruction
Instructing the Mantra Contd. Things come up Pronunciation, Association, Emotions Give mantra card Direct them to meditate on their own Remind them to continue meditating at home Offer a flower or piece of fruit Hug if appropriate
Instructing in Groups Helpful option if teaching a large group Suggested guidelines: Each student has same Primordial Sound 2-6 students per group Enough chairs
Instructing in Groups Before starting, give brief explanation of group setting 108 mantras Keep mantra private With consistent practice becomes more personal Follow the script including Shanti Mantra Ensure each person is pronouncing the Primordial Sound correctly
Instructing Virtually Suggested guidelines: Use online services or phone Skype or video conference services best If available, set up room as you would in person Follow the script including Shanti Mantra At the end, go over spelling of mantra Meditate together Keep time
