Prayer for Believing O God, we see wars, hatred and violence everywhere, yet despair of ever stopping them. We see oppression and injustice and persecution but fail to raise our voices in protest. We have become a pessimistic people. Help us believe really believe in Isaiah s vision of your promise of a new heaven and new earth. St Paul s Choir presents Coffee and Suites! The LaRose Duo with Rosanne Warren on flute and Larisa Gulenco on piano will be here for an afternoon of classical music, coffee, tea and sweets and a sing-along by our very own Nancy Whitnell on Friday December 2 at 1:30pm in St. Paul s sanctuary. Rosanne Warren has played a number of times with the choir for their Cantata presentations at both Christmas and Easter and we are excited to have the opportunity to host Rosanne and Larisa for a concert series this year. Cost is by donation at the door. If you need any additional information, please contact any choir member. We hope you can join us! Church Donation envelopes for 2017 are available for pickup in the atrium. If you currently do not have church envelopes but would like them, please speak to the treasurer (Rick Rye), the envelope secretary (Hannah Freiberg) or contact the office. Donation baskets are in the atrium for the Food Bank and for gifts for women and children at Halton Women s Place. These are ongoing outreach projects of St Paul s recommended by the Mission & Outreach Committee. Thank you for your continued support. The Children s Choir rehearses Sundays in the sanctuary following worship (around 11:00am). Any children are welcome to come along and sing with the choir! A sign up sheet for scripture reading during the traditional services in January is located in the atrium. Visitors Offering Envelopes. Please note that visitor s offering envelopes are available. Any donations provided in one of these envelopes will allow the giver to be obtain a receipt for income tax purposes. If you would like a visitor s envelope, they are available in the atrium. Memorial Flowers. If you would like to place memorial flowers in the worship area on a Sunday morning - to remember a loved one or to celebrate a special event - please let the office know. You may also sponsor a Sunday bulletin - please contact the office for details. If you wish to hold an activity, meeting, service or event at St Paul s, please check with the office for availability before firming up your plans. As you know, the building is busy and we want to make sure that you have the time and space that you need. Volunteers are always needed to help with set-up and snack, Sunday School support, and special events planning.
