Prayer Line: Jo Kusz 651-771-7438 From the Youth Minister Several weeks ago, our youth group gathered to vote on a new name and identity for who we are. Every member of our group submitted at least one name suggestion. They ranged from the goofy ( Miss J s Unicorns ) to the insightful ( the Faithful Flames ). One by one, we voted our way through the submissions until we came to the winning name that took the most votes. Our Presentation youth group is now formally known as The Spirit Squad. This name submission does not surprise me we invoke the Holy Spirit every time we gather! Today as we celebrate Pentecost, I wish to share with you the invocation that is prayed by our youth. I urge you to take a few moments, thank our Father for sending His Spirit to be with us, and try this prayer in your own life. Holy Spirit, source of truth; Breath of God giver of life! Surprise me in the midst of daily life. Go with me even into my plans. Transform me in my understanding. Fill me with all your gifts. Immerse me to make me clean. Awaken my talents to work in me. Work in me that I may grow less. Ignite your charism that I may witness to you. Overtake me when I flee. Enlighten me when I do not understand. Break me open when I freeze. Pour into me when I am hesitant. Purify me when I am tempted. Burn within me when I grow cold. Overwhelm me when I become complacent. Flood through me when I am empty. Fill me with joy when I am sad. Embrace me when I am lonely. Pray in me when I cannot find the words. Console me when I am abandoned. Heal me when I am sick. Hold me when I fall. Shelter me when I am defenseless. The money collected will go to help support the many services provided by Options for Women East, including free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, free STI tests, education classes, maternity/baby supplies, counseling, support and referrals, and prenatal services. FFF: Family-centered Faith Formation Dear Parishioners, The Faith Formation Center will be closed this coming week. I will be in retreat at our monastery in St. Joseph, Minnesota, until June 10 th. Presentation School News SCRIP orders will continue to be processed over the summer on the 1 st and 15 th of each month. Please order online or drop order forms off at the parish office. Congratulations to our student of the year: Katie Marshall! Katie is a wonderful student and very involved in our school community. We wish her well next year as she continues her education at Hill-Murray High School. Have you outgrown your school uniforms? Please wash them up, make any needed repairs, and send them to school! In August we will host our uniform exchange where you can shop free of charge for any new items you need. Preschool News The countdown to summer is in full swing, not that the children (or teachers) are showing signs or anything! (Ha-ha!) The preschoolers have had a busy couple weeks with Father's Day Kickball and singing in the Spring Concert, both of which were successful; and now graduation for those entering kindergarten is upon us. Walk To Cathedral Join us for the 9 th Annual Walk to the Cathedral Sunday, June 4 th Join us on a pilgrimage of faith as we walk 6 miles from Presentation of Mary Church to the Cathedral of St. Paul. Leaving at 1:00 pm from the lower parking lot, we will make this journey on foot. We expect to arrive at the Cathedral at about 4:00 pm, and make a brief visit with a time for prayer, before walking down to Cossetta s for dinner at about 4:30 pm.
