INHERITANCE OF THE ELECT. by John Michael Abbaduska

The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things unto them in parables. (Matthew 13:1-3) All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. (Matthew 13:34-35) And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why Speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: for this people s heart is wax gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and RIGHTEOUS men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. (Matthew 13:10-17) Jesus said, The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the FATHER in spirit and in truth: for the FATHER seeketh such to worship HIM. GOD is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24) Jesus said, And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the FATHER in my name, HE will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the FATHER. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the FATHER for you: for the FATHER HIMSELF loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from GOD. I came forth from the FATHER, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the FATHER. (John 16:23-28) Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice because I said, I go unto the FATHER, for my FATHER is Greater than I. (John 14:28) Jesus said unto her, {Mary Magdalene}Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my FATHER: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my FATHER, and your FATHER; and to my GOD, and your GOD. (John 20:17) 1

These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Then said the Jews, will he kill himself? Because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto from the beginning. { I said, I am the Son of GOD. (John 10:36)} I have many things to say and to judge of you: but HE that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of HIM. They understood not that he spake to them of the FATHER. Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my FATHER hath taught me, I speak these things. And HE that sent me is with me: the FATHER hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please HIM. As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my FATHER: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of GOD: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even GOD. Jesus said unto them, If GOD were your FATHER, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from GOD; neither came I of myself, but HE sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of GOD heareth GOD S words: ye therefore hear them not because ye are not of GOD. (John 8:20-47) Paul said, That there is none other GOD but one. { The only true GOD. (John 17:3)} For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, as there be gods many, and lords many, but To us there is but one GOD, the FATHER, of WHOM are all things, [ One GOD and FATHER of all, WHO is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4:6)] 2

and we in HIM. (1 Corinthians 8:6) For Jesus said, GOD is a Spirit. (John 4:24) For in HIM we live, and move, and have our being: as certain of your own poets have said, for we are also HIS offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of GOD. (Acts 17:28-29) "GOD our FATHER." (Romans 1:7) (1 Corinthians 1:3) (2 Corinthians 1:3) (2 Thessalonians 1:1, 2) (1 Timothy 1:2) (Philemon 3) (Ephesians 1:2) (Colossians 1:2) (Philippians 4:20) (1 Thessalonians 3:11, 3) The FATHER of spirits. (Hebrews 12:9) And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) BREATHE: spirit (Webster s seventh New Collegiate Dictionary) James said, For the body without the spirit is dead. (James 2:26) The Lord God said unto Adam, In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground: for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (Genesis 3:19) Solomon said, Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto GOD WHO gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7) For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to GOD in the spirit. (1 Peter 4:6) GOD IS LIGHT, and in HIM in no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5) The LIGHT which no man can approach unto; WHOM no man hath seen, nor can see: to WHOM be honour and power everlasting. Amen. (1 Timothy 6:16) The FATHER of lights, with WHOM is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17) Ye are all the children of LIGHT. (1 Thessalonians 5:5) In him {Jesus} was life; and the life was the light of men. { That was the true LIGHT, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (John 1:9) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of GOD, and not us. (2 Corinthians 4:7)] And the LIGHT shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:4-5) 3

Jesus answered then, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If HE called them gods, unto whom the Word of GOD came, and the scripture cannot be broken: say ye of him, whom the FATHER hath sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of GOD? (John 10:34-36) And again, when HE bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, HE saith, And let all the angels of GOD worship him. And of the angels HE saith, WHO maketh HIS angels spirits, and HIS ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son HE saith, Thy throne O God is for ever and ever: a sceptre of RIGHTEOUSNESS is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved RIGHTEOUSNESS and hated iniquity; therefore GOD, even thy GOD, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands. (Hebrews 1:6-10) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God. (Hebrews 11:3) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made by him; and without him was not any things made that was made. (John 1:1-3) HIS dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:13-17) Jesus said, For as the FATHER hath life in HIMSELF; so hath HE given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. (John 5:26-27) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his GLORY, the GLORY as of the only begotten of the FATHER, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD. (John 1:10-13) When the fulness of the time was come, GOD sent forth HIS Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galatians 4:4-5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of HIS will. (Ephesians 1:5) 4

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose. For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28-29) HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds; who being the BRIGHTNESS of HIS GLORY, and the express image of HIS person. (Hebrews 1:2-3) Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with GOD: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore GOD also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the GLORY of GOD the FATHER. (Philippians 2:5-11) Paul said, To us there is but one GOD, the FATHER, of WHOM are all things, and we in HIM; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (1 Corinthians 8:6) HIS Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 1:3) And Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thing hands. (Hebrews 1:10) The Lord ask Job, Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of GOD shouted for joy. (Job 38:4-7) Jesus said, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If HE called them gods, unto whom the word of GOD came, and the scripture cannot be broken; say ye of him, whom the FATHER hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of GOD. (John 10:34-36) Jesus, thou Son of the MOST HIGH GOD. (Mark 5:7) I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the MOST HIGH. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. (Psalm 82:6-7) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood. (Hebrews 2:14) GOD, WHO at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the Prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son. (Hebrews 1:1-2) 5

Jesus said, For I have not spoken of myself; but the FATHER which sent me, HE gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that HIS commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the FATHER said unto me, so I speak. (John 12:49-50) The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezeki-ah, the kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel. The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredoms, departing from the LORD. So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel. And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel. And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And GOD said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away. But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen. Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son. Then said GOD, call his name Loammi: for ye are not MY people, and I will not be your GOD. Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; { Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved. (Romans 9:27)} and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not MY people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living GOD. (Hosea 1:2-10) Paul said. Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as HE hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be HOLY and without blame before HIM in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of HIS will. (Ephesians 1:3-5) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, ABBA, FATHER. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of GOD: and if children, then heirs; heirs of GOD, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also GLORIFIED together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the GLORY which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of GOD. (Romans 8:15-19) For it became HIM, for WHOM are all things, and by WHOM are all things, in bringing many sons unto GLORY. (Hebrews 2:10) The GOD of all grace, WHO hath called us unto HIS eternal GLORY by Christ Jesus. (1 Peter 5:10) 6

HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things. (Hebrews 1:2) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of HIM WHO worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will. (Ephesians 1:11) Paul said, Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the FATHER. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, GOD sent forth HIS Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, GOD hath sent forth the Spirit of HIS Son into your hearts, crying, ABBA, FATHER. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of GOD through Christ. (Galatians 4:1-7) Behold, what manner of love the FATHER hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of GOD: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of GOD, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:1-2) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in GLORY. (Colossians 3:4) Paul said, we are bound to give thanks always to GOD for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because GOD hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: whereunto HE called by our gospel, to the obtaining of the GLORY of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose. For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28-29) We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the GLORY of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18) The Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it might be fashioned like unto his GLORIOUS body. (Philippians 3:20-21) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his GLORY, the GLORY as of the only begotten of the FATHER, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the SUN, and his raiment was white as the LIGHT. (Matthew 17:2) 7

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the SUN shineth in his strength. (Revelation 1:14:16) Paul said, There is one GLORY of the SUN, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:41) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my FATHER which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23) As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the RIGHTEOUS shine forth as the SUN in the kingdom of their FATHER. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13:40-43) When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not GOD, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the GLORY of his power; when he shall come to be GLORIFIED in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe. (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his GLORIOUS body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (Philippians 3:20-21) We are bound to give thanks always to GOD for you brethren beloved of the Lord, because GOD hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: whereunto HE called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the GLORY of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14) For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29) Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. (Hebrew 13:12) For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, I will declare THY name among my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto THEE. And again, I will put my trust in HIM. And again, Behold I and the children which GOD 8

hath given me. (Hebrew 2:11-13) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with GOD: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [ GOD sending HIS own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh. (Romans 8:3)] and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians 2:5-8) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all there lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to GOD, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. (Hebrews 2:14-18) Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of GOD, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:14-15) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered [ For it became HIM, for WHOM are all thing, and by WHOM are all things, in bringing many sons unto GLORY, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Hebrews 2:10)] And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; called of GOD an High Priest after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 5:8-10) For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the MOST HIGH GOD, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of GOD; abideth a priest continually. Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. (Hebrews 7:1-4) If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, for under it the people received the law, what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. For he of whom 9

these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. And it is far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. For HE testifieth, Thou art a Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 7:14-17) For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto GOD. (Hebrews 7:19) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD sending HIS own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-5) And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. (1 John 3:5-6) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) The soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4, 20) But GOD commendeth HIS love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Wherefore holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to HIM that appointed him. (Hebrews 3:1-2) So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an High Priest; but HE that said unto him, Thou art MY Son, to day have I begotten thee. As HE saith also in another place, Thou art a Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrew 5:5-6) Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of GOD, let us hold fast our profession. (Hebrews 4:14) For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us. (Hebrews 9:24) And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the FATHER, Jesus Christ the RIGHTEOUS. (1 John 2:1) 10

For there is one GOD, and one mediator between GOD and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all. (1 Timothy 2:5-6) This man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of GOD. (Hebrews 10:12) This man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable Priesthood. Wherefore he is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto GOD by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an High Priest became us, who is HOLY, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sin, and then for the people s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. (Hebrews 7:24-28) Wherefore GOD, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of HIS counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for GOD to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an High Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 6:17) For Christ is not entered into the holy place made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us: nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with the blood of others; for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:24-28) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to GOD, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the LIVING GOD? (Hebrews 12:14) Herein is love, not that we loved GOD, but that HE loved us, and sent HIS Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10) And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the FATHER, Jesus Christ the RIGHTEOUS: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:1-2) 11

For there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the GLORY of GOD; being justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom GOD hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood. (Romans 3:23-25) And the blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7) The precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in GOD, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him GLORY; that your faith and hope might be in GOD. (1 Peter 1:19-21) This man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of GOD. (Hebrews 10:12) Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of GOD. (Hebrews 12:2) It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of GOD, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34) HIS Son from heaven whom HE raised from the dead. (1 Thessalonians 1:10) According to the working of HIS mighty power, which HE wrought in Christ, when HE raised him from the dead, and set him at HIS own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. (Ephesians 1:19-21) Jesus Christ: who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of GOD; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. (1 Peter 3:21-22) Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: we have such an High Priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the MAJESTY in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. (Hebrews 8:1-2) Jesus said, These things saith the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the beginning of the creation of GOD To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my FATHER in HIS throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:14, 21-22) ASTUDYOFGODSWORD.COM 7/20/14 12
