Do you truly believe that abortion is wrong? Or do you just give lip service? If you do believe it is wrong, can you spend a couple of hours to show your belief? Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of prolife individuals standing for 90 minutes praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children and that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death. I would also like to thank everyone who helped on the tootsie roll drive. Knights will usually gather in the church entrance prior to the Mass and pin on the honor guard ribbons to their coats. The honor guard processes together into the church before the family and is seated together behind the pews reserved for the pall bearers. At the conclusion of the Mass, the honor guard processes out of the church, before the family and casket are ushered out, and we stand at attention at the church entrance as the casket leaves the church. All Knights from any Council are welcome to stand honor guard. If the deceased is also a member of the Fourth Degree, a color corps of Fourth Degree Knights leads the KC honor guard. K of C Long Term Care Insurance has Bonus Benefits Since its addition to the Order s product portfolio in 2000, long-term care insurance has provided the Knights of Columbus with an excellent opportunity to further serve members and their families. And, for our long-term care clients in the United States, a K of C Care policy brings added value. That added value is in the form of a service called Provider Pathway, a program offering access to a network of long-term care providers at discounted rates. The network covers: home health care, personal emergency response systems, adult day care, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities and durable medical equipment. Eligibility for participation in this program is open to Knights of Columbus Long-Term Care Insurance policyholders, their spouses, dependent children, parents and parents-in-law. All providers are fully credentialed and meet state licensing requirements. If you haven t yet spoken with your professional Knights of Columbus agent about long-term care insurance, you owe it to yourself to do so. There are many decisions to make in choosing a plan benefit amounts and durations, a facility only plan or one that covers home health care, and the length of the waiting period before benefits kick-in are just a few of the items you ll need to consider. Having a professionally trained agent and a Brother Knight you can trust at that to help you through the process is yet another valuable benefit that comes with your Knights of Columbus membership. Take advantage of it. Give me a call. Neil Pfeifer, at (402) 640 1239.
