Seeking relatives of men from Lee-on-the-Solent who died in World War One Ahead of a special Remembrance Sunday service on 11th November, marking 100 years to the day since the end of World War One, we are trying to locate relatives of the men of Lee-on-the-Solent who died in the Great War. Did you know that both the Lee and Stubbington war memorials carry the same names from World War One? That s because Lee and Stubbington were part of the same parish back then. Of these names, we know which men came from Lee, and it is relatives of these men we d love to invite to the service in November, at which we will tell some of the men s stories. A full list of the names of the men is available on the St Faith s website, and in a special leaflet on the Welcome Table in the church. If you know someone who may be a relative, please do pass this on! Pastoral care in St Faith s St Faith s is a big church, and sometimes we don t hear that people are unwell, or need some extra help, until after the event. If you are unwell, or need some help, and would like us to know, please do get in touch with one of the clergy, or Joyce Dawson our pastoral care coordinator. Contact details for all these people are on the back of the Weekly Notes. Reading at the Parish Eucharist and Evening Prayer Sign-up sheets for the Bible readings at the Parish Eucharist and Evening Prayer, are now available on the welcome table by the sound desk. Please do sign-up if you would like to help with readings in these services. Thank you! Faith works Faith Works, our twice-yearly newsletter to the parish, should be available to collect and distribute next week! 4
