Wait for God, stand tall, and let your heart take courage! Psalm 27:13-14 A little over two years ago, I returned from my mission experience in India. Recently I received the quarterly newsletter from Family Village Farm, and it caused me to reflect again on the experience and what it meant to me. I was pleased to see a listing of accomplishments of recent graduates and current students, all of whom I remember from my time with them in 2012. Here are some of the highlights of their accomplishments: One of the present Tenth Standard girls, Keerthana B, who is sponsored by Global Ministries, USA, has been awarded the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research for the year 2014 conducted by the government of Tamil Nadu. The school was awarded with prize money of Rs. 5000. ($81 US) Keerthana will represent the school at the Science exhibition that is to be held in the city. (Keerthana is a bright, hard working girl whose father died about 5 years ago. She is determined to do her best at whatever she does.) All of the 12 th Standard students passed the State Board Exam, which allows them to go on to college to study for a career. Of the 25 10 th Standard students, 24 passed the State Board Exam, and two received perfect scores in science. Passing this Board Exam allows the students to advance to their junior and senior years in high school. The one student who did not pass will be taking a vocational education course to prepare for finding a job in a trade. Two of the girls I worked with have earned a Diploma in Medical Records, and one girl and two boys have earned a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery. How heartwarming to know these children have a chance to earn a living in a career that will be both rewarding and that will raise them above the poverty level. It is good to know that our mission money is accomplishing little miracles every day. Please continue to hold Family Village Farm (and all our Mission Partners) in your prayers. I could not have accomplished this task without the support of those that helped and those that attended the meal. Many thanks to all of our community for the unending support they give. - Charlotte Rathert Cross Wall The Cross wall is looking great but we are still accepting crosses if anyone would like to donate one. - Bailey Lenger, You(th) 2
