CHRIS ALDRIDGE, FEBRUARY 5, 2017 It was with great shock and sadness that I read of Darrel's passing in the Waco paper Friday. Darrel was our Adjutant when I joined the Sons of Confederate Veterans in 1999. We deemed it a great loss when he and the family moved from the Waco area, but even greater is the loss to all concerned with his death. He was such a pleasant person to work with, never flustered nor discouraged, always with a smile. He has been sorely missed by his Compatriots of our camp and will be even more so with the news of his passing. He will be affectionately remembered by those of us who knew him. We, the members of Camp #129 of the SCV, extend our heartfelt condolences to Rose and the children and their families. May God surround you with His loving arms and ease your pain. HAYDEN H.
