C h u r c h L i f e U p d a t e s Step by Step: We've started a new walking group that meets on Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. and walks the path by Veteran's Park. We will meet at the Pawn Shop parking lot on Lebanon Street and begin the path from there. Several people walk, so you can find someone who matches your pace! Hope to see you soon! Morgan Nichols Scholarship Blood Drive: On Wednesday, July 22 from 2 p.m. - 6:30 pm there will be a blood drive in the fellowship hall. Save lives, enjoy good food, and help Morgan Nichols qualify for a college scholarship! Contact Morgan at 336-710-1846 for more information. Go to www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation and enter sponsor code calvary summer to make an appointment. Women In Mission: We will meet again on Tuesday, August 28 at 10:30 a.m. All ladies of the church are welcomed to come and join us in our mission studies and work. We need you! For more information, contact Mary Jane Shelton. Wednesday Night Prayer: Remember our summer prayer meetings on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Prayer Room just off the Chapel. This is not a devotional time or a Bible study; instead, it s a chance for people to seek God s face, offer requests, and rest in His presence. For more information, contact Carol Lowe (336-786-5821). Lay Reader Ministry: If you would be interested in reading scripture in either the Uplift or Traditional service, please talk to Teresa Martin. Calvary s Got Talent: With so many activities already in progress this summer, it has been decided to postpone this event until September. In the meantime, keep working on your talent! A note of thanks to all who came out to Chick-Fil-A on Monday night to support the Uplift praise band! What a wonderful night! God gave us a beautiful night and a great crowd! Thanks to all of you! Teresa Martin
