From the Pastor s Desk It seemed many really appreciated our series in September "Prophecy at Ground Zero". We are still getting calls, emails and requests for the CD's. We are so grateful that this past series helped you to understand from a prophetic perspective as to what is happening in the world in general and the middle east in particular. In the month of October we will be preaching a series on "Knowing the God of the Bible." We live in a day and age where many may believe in some "Higher Power" but they are not sure of the nature, personality or the ability of their "Higher Power." When a person comes to know the God of the Bible, one can know that we serve, and have been created, redeemed and sustained by an amazing and loving Creator/Redeemer/Sustainer who knows the beginning and the end. Continued on page 2

The Pastor s Desk Continued... In the month when the air is cooler and the leaves are changing and there seems to be a change in the air, it may be a good time to know and walk with the God of the Bible. Hope to see you Sunday. Mark Thursday evenings in the Family Life Center at 6:00 p.m. Nuggets from the Bible Hebrews 1:1-2 God who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us be His Son... The writer of the book of Hebrews, in two short verses, gives us instruction for making a diagram that shows all time divided into two periods - In the past to the left of the cross, and these last days which began at the cross and continues to the right of the cross. The writer also tells us how God spoke during these periods of time. In the past He spoke through the prophets at many times and in various ways. In these last days He has spoken by His Son. Just before Jesus left the earth to go back to His Father, He said that when He left the earth to go back to His Father, He said that when He left He would send another counselor to be with us forever - the Spirit of truth. This Spirit of truth inspired people like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, the writer of Hebrews, James, Peter and Jude to write truth from God for believers to have, thus making His Word, our Bible complete. Everything God wants us to know is recorded. He has said everything He needs to say to inform us about His plan - past, present and future - and to guide and strengthen us as His children. ARA High School Age and Older! This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8

"Angel" means "messenger," and what better way to spread the Christmas message than with angels! This charming holiday musical casts kids and youth as the choir of angels, announcing the birth of Christ. They are all waiting to be told when to go to earth and make the grand announcement. As they wait for the call, they review God's faithfulness through His promises and some of the prophecies about the Savior's birth. The musical is full of worship and plenty of celebration, since the angels understand the love God has for His people in sending His Son to earth. Rehearsals are Sundays at 4:00pm in the Music Suite divided into K-5 th and 6-12 th graders in two sections. Come join the fun! Our presentation will be December 7 at 6:00pm. Sing cerely, Melanie Rushing1@cox.net
