THE PREZ SEZ A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT Hey You I just want to encourage you to start believing in yourself again. Most of us haven t had the perfect start in life and so we have accepted things the way they are. Now, you can break out of the mold and become what you were meant to be! It all starts with changing one thing at a time. I never thought I could attend college. I thought I wasn t smart enough and I certainly didn t have the money or the time. Actually, I didn t really fit into the mold of the normal college experience. Sure, I read the Bible, but I wanted more than just reading it! I saw what spiritual poverty can do to a person. You want to know the Word but have no opportunity to go deeper other than just getting saved. This ignited my passion to get the Word out to anyone who desired more but could not afford it. That s how it began! You are the reason why this passion drives me to offer you this Bible college that is affordable, self paced, hassle free and with no deadlines! I BELIEVE IN YOU! Charter and Accreditation Information Agape Bible College is Chartered under Shalom Bible College and Seminary, West Des Moines, Iowa under Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International. Accredited by American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions. Agape Bible College is also accredited with World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWAC). Concerning Accreditation: Schools are not legally required to become accredited, but it is a very desirable standing. To accredit means to endorse, authorize, and officially approve of. It is a process by which schools voluntarily agree to participate in a set of established standards in order to encourage quality education. Accredited status means a school has voluntarily undergone a comprehensive examination to determine that it operates at a worthy level of performance. Secular and Christian Educational Differences: Mark 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar s, and to God the things that are God s. And they marveled at him. What you need to know about accreditation. Secular education and religious education differ in many ways. While secular schools provide an education through secular educational standards, a bible school receives it s accreditation from Christian institutions having its own standards. Because biblically based schools offer no secular degrees, a bible college needs no secular accreditation. The difference lies in the fact that a secular accreditation association is recognized by governmental agencies. That is why some states recognize some degrees while others may not. Christian based accrediting associations are recognized by the church and the Church Body which receives its authority from Heaven. Since secular and Christian interests are different, therefore they have separate realms of jurisdiction. Since a state is not superior to the Church there is no need for recognition from the secular world. - 2 -

Bible based schools do not need to be acknowledged by secular accrediting associations of the federal government due to separation of church and state. We hold our self accountable to God, the Church and by the laws of the land as well as our accreditation agency, World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions(WWAC). Your Bible is Your Compass for Success Introducing Agape Bible College Agape Bible College is an independent school of higher learning serving all religious denominations. The student body and faculty reflect various types of church backgrounds, rather than any one denomination. The college is incorporated in the state of Texas and grants degrees to those who satisfactorily complete the prescribed course of study. The school s history dates from 2004, when Agape Bible College was chartered under Shalom Bible College & Seminary, which is incorporated by the State of Iowa. Agape Bible College is also incorporated in the state of Texas under the umbrella of Agape Christian Center of Central Texas, Inc. Individual accreditation was received from World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Education Institutions by Agape Bible College in 2011. In addition to training ministers and professional people, the school has helped hundreds of Christian laypeople gain a greater understanding of the Bible and has prepared them for Christian life. - 4 -

Helping you to have a vision for your future and bringing quality education to you In the last several years, educators around the country, including all of us here at Agape Bible College, have seen a definite new trend in education. More and more, education is becoming decentralized and less campus-focused. This trend seems to be true in all areas of education, and especially in college work. We here at ABC are very thankful that God has allowed us to be more than trend observers; we have been trendsetters. Because of His vision, insight and forethought or should we say prophetic knowledge we have developed a Bible curriculum which we can offer to the world through correspondence studies and internet extension campuses. We have become acutely aware of the fact that traditional campus-based education would prove increasingly impractical for a greater number of people as their lives became more and more mobile. With this keen insight, we have worked tirelessly to produce a college system that could go with the student rather than demanding that the student abandon his mission for a period of years to be anchored to a desk. The result was an off-campus program that makes Agape Bible College literally a school with a global campus. This correspondence program has allowed us to provide degree programs to ministers who cannot leave their churches, housewives who must stay with their families, missionaries in isolated mission posts, inmates in correctional institutions, patients in long-term medical facilities and the list goes on and on. Of course, for those interested who live close enough to a classroom facility, we do still offer the traditional classroom format. Currently, we have only one such facility, in Belton, TX. We will consider expanding into more facilities as demand arises. In breaking beyond the limitation of our walls, ABC has begun to fulfill not only Dr. Karen Pelizzari s mandate, but also the directive left to us by Jesus Christ Himself: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations (Matthew 28:19). - 5 -

STATEMENT OF FAITH We believe in one God, One Creator and One Lord of the Universe. We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the three in One. We believe that Jesus Christ, God s Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary. That He lived a sinless life and died as a substitute for our sins; taking the punishment that our sin deserved. We believe that by His atoning death on the cross, Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave. That He arose from the dead and ascended to Heaven where He sits at the Father s right hand as mediator between God the Father and man. We believe that the Bible is without error. That it is the final authority in all its teachings, including creation, history, its own origins and the need for salvation. We believe that, as a Christian, we must submit to the divine authority of the Bible in all matters and that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, our conduct should demonstrate true righteous and holy living. We believe that every person born on earth is born with a sin nature; that they are lost and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through the new birth. We believe justification (justified just as if I had never sinned) is received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. We worship Jesus Christ and follow the Bible s command to preach the Gospel among all nations. We believe by doing this, we demonstrate His compassion and love to all people. We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit; the new birth and growing to maturity by renewing the mind and getting a new way of thinking. Our mission is to impart truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love and power to overcome sin. We believe that Jesus Christ will return in His glory to raise the dead, and will bring salvation and deliverance from evil in the present world. We believe our soon returning King will establish a new heaven and new earth in which He will be glorified forever and believers will no longer fight with evil, suffering and death. We at Agape Bible College desire to demonstrate God s love to all, especially the forgotten, the social outcast, and those behind prison bars. PROGRAM COST We have mentioned in several places that Agape Bible College was designed to make it affordable for you to further your Bible study. Now, let us show you just what that means. Here is a breakdown of our current fee schedule: Enrollment Application Fee... $25 Registration Fee... $25 Tuition per course for the Associate of Arts... $20 Tuition per course for Bachelor of Arts... $60 Internship fees per credit... $20 Graduation Fee... $150 There are a total of 86 courses for the Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies. This amounts to only $2350 to obtain your Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies degree! This includes workbook fees! There are 20 core courses and 4 supplemental courses for the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. This degree is only available if you already have an Associate Degree. The cost for this program will be a total of about $1820 plus book fees. In the near future we will have the curricula for more advanced degrees available. Watch for the updates!
