Third Annual Moravian Lovefeast postponed to December 12 th Due to the weather this past weekend, we postponed our LoveFeast to this Sunday night following the Missions Dinner and Program at 5:00pm. The Mission Dinner and Program will be in the Fellowship Hall starting at 5:00pm. Then, at 6:15pm or so, we will migrate to the Sanctuary for the LoveFeast to begin at 6:30pm (note the time change). Invite your friends and neighbors to join us for both the Missions Dinner and Program and then the LoveFeast. I Hear the Prophet Callin will be this Sunday night December 12 th at 6:30 pm. The Sanctuary Choir is presenting our Christmas music worship program this year. In the service we will also celebrate a Moravian Lovefeast. Invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to join you for this beautiful service of music and scripture as we journey through the Advent season. This is our church s gift to the community. Help us spread the word. This year s Lovefeast program will include an extra special gift for each person who attends. Start now to talk it up among your circles of influence. Let s fill the church as we feast on the riches of the fellowship, music and message of the season. The Hearts of Gold will be the service choir this Sunday morning at 11:00am. They will be singing a beautiful selection called Candlelight Canon. Have you ever heard a Christmas canon before? Don t miss Sunday morning! See you Sunday, singing God s song. Many thanks to Luedell Bailey for planning and organizing the trip to Old Salem last Thursday. Parke cheerfully and willingly, as always, drove the Coach with 18 wonderful folks aboard. A great time was enjoyed with a short stop in Mount Airy for a Pork Chop Sandwich at lunch time in memory of the Andy Griffin Show. The Candle tea was warmly received even though the winds were cold. This was great background information for the Love Feast that will be presented at our own church on Sunday evening. We need to sell a few more cookbooks to start realizing a profit so think seriously about giving some for Christmas gifts. You will not have to drive to the Mall and hunt through the crowds. Just stop by the church office and pay $20 per book. We will even wrap any preorders that request wrapping. Deadline for wrapping will be December 19. Also, another great place to shop for your Christmas decorations and gifts is our local Farmer's Market. It is open on Saturday morning from 10 until 1 through December 18. You will meet some fine people there, as well. Are you interested in going to see the lights at the Speedway? There is a possibility of going on Thursday, December 16 at 4 pm, stopping for supper, driving through the speedway and returning home early in the evening. Call me at 628-2209, if interested. wanda
Thank you Sanctuary Choir for the food donated during November. The Church Staff is being challenged to being items for the month of December for the Stone Soup Food Pantry. So, help by bringing at least one can of food each time you come to church. Collection baskets are at each entrance.
