This week - Please remember in prayer: In the Church: The members of the Deanery Discipleship Course, and all those considering ministry within the Deanery Justine and Gavin, our Archdeacons and for their ministry among us. The work of Christian Aid, and especially for the success of their harvest appeal. In our communities and nation: For our local schools, village halls, pubs and other community facilities, and for our Parish Councils Local support agencies including Citizens Advice. In the world: All those coping with the aftermath of earthquakes, tsunami, storms and floods in so many areas of the world. We pray for those who are injured and bereaved, and those trying to re-build their lives for months and years after these events. Those who continue to suffer as the result of civil war, especially in the Yemen. The sick: All who suffer within our own communities, including Sylvia Cook, Barbara French, Pat Lee. Those who have died: Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon them. Coming soon All Souls memorial Service: Old Somerby Church, Friday 2 nd November at 7pm. At this annual service we remember our loved ones who have died. During the service those who have died can be remembered by name, and there will be an opportunity for you or someone representing your family to light a candle of remembrance, if you wish to do so.
