We will begin each service by naming and lighting a candle for those who died during the past year who were Holy Cross members and/or for whom our pastors led a funeral service. After that naming, we will invite anyone who lost a loved one this year to come forward to light a candle during the singing of For All the Saints. We will also name the new saints in our midst, those who were baptized in the past year. When: Saturday & Sunday, November 3rd and 4th Contact: Pr. Extra hands are needed this year to cleanup the preschool playground area. Bring your gloves, rakes and whatever else you think you will need. Whatever time you have to spare would be greatly appreciated. They estimate assisting over 200 families with bags that will include many holiday treats. Our goal at Holy Cross is to provide 50 bags of Thanksgiving "fixin's" to support our community. Stop by the table in the narthex to grab a grocery bag and shopping list, or consider making a $20 donation to cover the cost of one bag. All bags need to be dropped off at Holy Cross by Wednesday, October 31st. More Than a Movie Night Jump on board the monster cruise ship with Dracula, Mavis and the rest of the Drac pack. All 2nd-6th-grade kids and their friends are invited to watch Hotel Transylvania 3 Summer Vacation. We will take a break halfway through the movie to play some games and have a snack. This seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and others who have experienced the holidays after a loved one s death. Opioid Awareness: Naloxone (Narcan) Training Holy Cross is offering Narcan training to anyone interested in learning about this dilemma. This group can also come early and eat at 5:30 pm. Duties are wash dishes and utensils, dispose of paper products, wipe down tables, clean out coffee pots, empty the trash, lock the doors and turn off the lights.
