Guest speakers will be followed by a news conference. Dry space is reserved in case of adverse weather. We will be car pooling from our church parking lot at 10:00 AM. There will be a sign up sheet today in the Commons. The First Church carillon will join with other church bells on that day at 12:30 PM in sounding the alarm! Enjoy our Hood River Blossom Festival Tour on April 20, 2013. We will tour the Columbia Gorge, escorted by a professional guide and traveling in a comfortable motor coach. On Sunday, March 24, First Church will host Stanley and Mary Gitari Imunyas, the head of community health and AIDS programs, and head of nursing, respectively, at Maua Methodist Hospital in Kenya. Join us at noon in the Fireside Room to hear Stanley and Mary speak about their work. A light lunch featuring Kenyan food will be available. Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, 2013 for an afternoon of fun at 11:00 AM, rain or shine, for children Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. Following the hunt, you are welcome to eat a hotdog lunch, and participate in craft stations. Persons of all ages are welcome to come, eat, participate, and observe. Lenten Suppers Focusing on a Redeeming Second Chance for the Church Lenten Suppers will be held each Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:15 PM in Collins Hall and the Fireside Room. Each week following supper we will host a speaker on these topics: One More Chance at Justice Multi-culturalism and how we might truly accept and empower persons of color.
