FACILITY IMPROVEMENT CAPITAL CAMPAIGN Parish Center Addition and Renovation Dear Parishioners, It has been a tremendous blessing to have been assigned to such a wonderful and supportive Parish. I am deeply impressed by the love and affection that you have for our Lord. Thank you for all you have done for our Parish. Thank you also for your ongoing support of the Parish Center Capital Campaign. The success of this campaign will help us better live out our mission of knowing, loving, and serving Christ. So far, we have received over $2,345,000 in pledges, and $1,550,000 has been collected. Also, below is an update as to the latest developments on this campaign: What has been going on? The Parish Center Committee has spent the past several months finalizing the construction document set which will guide our builders through the details of the construction process. County approval is almost complete and the project will go out to bid very soon. We have met with the architect and have designed what will be a truly beautiful place in which Christ will be adored. What to expect in the next few months? After the bid process is complete, we will begin construction. Once our contractor has coordinated with the diocesan construction office and county we will provide an update on the construction schedule. During construction, office functions will temporarily be in the rectory garages and meeting space will be shared with St. Timothy School. Again, God reward you for your great generosity. Practice is every day (there's not a game) from the middle of February thru the end of April, from 3:15pm to 5:30pm, Monday thru Friday. In case of inclement weather, practice is in the PVI gymnasium. There are 20 scheduled games, 10 at home and 10 at other schools in the DMV area. PVI provides team transportation to the games. For home games, student dismissal is 2pm with warm-ups starting at 2:15pm. For away games, dismissal is frequently 2pm (sometimes earlier), travel to the games as a team, returning to the school around 7:30pm (or later, depending on distance). This is a paid position, but you won't make a living on it! :-) So, you should really like girls fastpitch softball.
