SACRISTAN CHANGES! The sacristan position for any Cathedral is a unique one. Because the Cathedral is the Bishop s seat, the sacristan is very involved in Bishop Masses and events that occur there. But the Cathedral is also a parish, so the sacristan is heavily involved in parish Masses and tasks as well. Under Fr. Joe s guidance, we have made the decision to divide the two and have come up with a Parish Sacristan position and a Bishop Sacristan position. This separation of parish and diocesan sacristan tasks has been a natural progression over some time, and this new system will work very nicely for everyone. So going forward, Dan VandenAvond will now be taking on the Parish Sacristan role completely, assisted by office staff and volunteers, and I will serve as the Bishop s Sacristan for Bishop Masses and Diocesan events. This includes any parish Masses for which Bishop is celebrant (Christmas, Holy Week, etc.). I will also continue to be involved in decorating for these special seasons. Effective immediately, Jan Phillips will be your MSP and scheduling contact, and Dan VandenAvond will be your onsite contact. So please expect to receive emails now from Jan Phillips. I will no longer be involved with MSP. Dan VandenAvond s contact info is dvandenavond.sfx@gmail.com and (920) 370-2098. Jan Phillip s contact info is jphillips.sfx@gmail.com and (920) 680-5232. It has been a joy and pleasure serving the parish! I look forward to continuing working with those of you who may participate in Bishop and Diocesan Masses. Please also know that during special times of the year like Christmas & Easter I will be in contact with ministers when positions need to be filled. Which means I will still need your assistance. Thank you and God bless! ~Margaret Kleinschmidt, OCDS This weekend we celebrate Priesthood Sunday. It is a special time set aside to honor all priests. Please take time to let Fr. Joe Dorner ( and all the other priests who provide service to our parish ) know how much we appreciate their service and dedication not just on this weekend, but many times throughout the year. Let us keep them in our prayers and give them our support. Next Weekend, November 5th What is the schola singing? (For Nov. 5) In honor of our beloved dead In paradisum deducant te Angeli: in tuo adventu suscipiant te Martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jerusalem. Chorus Angelorum to suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere aeyernam habeas requiem. May the Angels lead you into paradise: and may the martyrs receive you at your coming, and lead you into the holy city, Jerusalem. May the choir of Angels receive you, and with Lazarus, who once was poor, may you have everlasting rest. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS Eva Halaburda Skyla Vandervest Patrick Loritz May God Bless You!
