CONCEPT NOTE ON REQUESTING FOR THE SUPPORT OF VULNERABLE PEOPLE CONTEXT

Transcription:

"I have preached for a long time that the only way to free people and heal them of their inner wounds is through reconciliation and forgiveness or pardon. I have seen the fruit of this. Many people come to share their agony with me and because of this a new vocation has been born within me: To listen to people, to evangelize, to speak about peace, reconciliation, forgiveness and to pray for healing. Once I spoke of this new vocation to my Bishop he agreed and approved this vision." A 28 Hectare piece of property on Lake Kivu has been purchased, a road has been built to the property and electricity is now available. This past year water wells and water storage tanks have been completed and toilets for the large gatherings. During the summer there have been statues of Divine Mercy and Our Lady of Kibeho installed and dedicated, along with a prayer walk for people to come to the property to pray. The next phase that is currently being built is the amphitheater and podium. We continue to raise funds for the ongoing development of the Center. The overall plan is to build the following for the Center: Podium/Amphitheater for large gatherings and healing services Convent for 15 sisters A house for 25 retired priests who are no longer able to do parish duties. (There are many retired priests all over Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, and Tanzania who are lonely and isolated with no one to care for them. These priests will be able to help with confessions at the time of big assemblies of evangelization. They will feel useful rather than despair. VIP Guest House Beach Improvements on the lake Waste Water Treatment Chapel for Perpetual Adoration 100 Person Retreat House Parking Lot

50 Person Counseling Center and classrooms for workshops Ongoing Road improvements The estimated cost of the overall project is: $9,750,000 American dollars. In conclusion: The Center for the Secret of Peace will be a beaming light of peace for all of Central Africa. It will allow people to reconcile themselves and to dare to resume a new life based on the brotherhood of Jesus Christ. Your donations will go toward the building of the Center for the Secret of Peace, and help pay for my expenses to continue to travel, evangelize and preach about forgiveness and peace around the world.
