Allah will certainly try you in respect of some game which your hands and your lances can reach, that Allah might know who fears Him in secret; but whoever exceeds the limit after this, he shall have a painful punishment. [5:94] DO NOT MAGNIFY YOURSELVES I will turn away from My communications those who are unjustly proud in the earth; and if they see every sign they will not believe in It; and if they see the way of rectitude they do not take It for a way, and if they see the way of error. they take it for a way; this is because they rejected Our communications and were heedless of them. [7:146]

SPEND IN PROSPERITY AND IN ADVERSITY Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). [3:134] GUIDED ARE THOSE THAT STRIVE And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them in Our ways; and Allah is most surely with the doers of good. [29:69] GOD PROVIDES And how many a living creature that does not carry its sustenance: Allah sustains it and yourselves; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. [29:60] DO NOT ASCRIBE PURITY TO YOURSELVES Those who keep aloof from the great sins and the indecencies but the passing idea; surely your Lord is liberal in forgiving. He knows you best when He brings you forth from the earth and when you are embryos in the wombs of your mothers; therefore do not attribute purity to your souls; He knows him best who guards (against evil). [53:32] DO NOT LOOK AT OTHERS WITH ARROGANCE NOR WALK WITH PRIDE And do not turn your face away from people in contempt, nor go about in the land exulting overmuch; surely Allah does not love any self-conceited boaster; [31:18] WHY EVILDOERS ARE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TRANSGRESSIONS And do not think Allah to be heedless of what the unjust do; He only respites them to a day on which the eyes shall be fixedly open, [14:42]

DO THE BEST YOU CAN Therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah as much as you can, and hear and obey and spend, it is better for your souls; and whoever is saved from the greediness of his soul, these it is that are the successful. [64:16] STAY ALOOF FROM IDLE TALK AND REMAIN HUMBLE And the servants of the Beneficent Allah are they who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace. [25:63] BEST IS HE WHO IS BEST IN CONDUCT O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware. [49:13] RESTRAIN ANGER AND BE FORGIVING TOWARDS OTHERS Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). [3:134] MULTIPLE SOURCES ONLY CAUSE DIVISIONS Allah sets forth an example: There is a slave in whom are (several) partners differing with one another, and there is another slave wholly owned by one man. Are the two alike in condition? (All) praise is due to Allah. Nay! most of them do not know. [39:29] INVITE WITH GOODLY WORDS AND WITH WISDOM Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and have disputations with them in the best manner; surely your Lord best knows those who go astray from His path, and He knows best those who follow the right way. [16:125]

BELIEVERS KEEP SCRIPTURE And (as for) those who hold fast by the Book and keep up prayer, surely We do not waste the reward of the right doers. [7:170] ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS And they swear by Allah with the most energetic of their oaths that if you command them they would certainly go forth. Say: Swear not; reasonable obedience (is desired); surely Allah is aware of what you do. [24:53] SPEND IN MODERATION And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. [25:67] NO RACISM. GOD HAS CREATED US INTO TRIBES AND NATIONS O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware. [49:13] SOME OF US ARE A TEST FOR OTHERS And We have not sent before you any messengers but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets; and We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing. [25:20] DO NOT DEMEAN OTHERS OR USE DEROGATORY NAMES O you who believe! let not (one) people laugh at (another) people perchance they may be better than they, nor let women (laugh) at (other) women, perchance they may be better than they; and do not find fault with your own people nor call one another by nicknames; evil is a bad name after faith, and whoever does not turn, these it is that are the unjust. [49:11]

GOD DOES NOT TAKE YOU TO TASK FOR UNINTENTIONAL MISTAKES Assert their relationship to their fathers; this is more equitable with Allah; but if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in faith and your friends; and there is no blame on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, but (concerning) that which your hearts do purposely (blame may rest on you), and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [33:5] SPEAK WITH A MODEST TONE And pursue the right course in your going about and lower your voice; surely the most hateful of voices is braying of the asses. [31:19] DO NOT DESPAIR OF GOD'S MERCY "Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful" [39:53] INCLINE TO PEACE And if they incline to peace, then incline to it and trust in Allah; surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. [8:61] DO NOT BE OVERTLY SUSPICIOUS, BACKBITE OR SPY ON ONE ANOTHER O you who believe! avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in some cases is a sin, and do not spy nor let some of you backbite others. Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? But you abhor it; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, surely Allah is Oft-returning (to mercy), Merciful. [49:12] STAND UP FOR JUSTICE AGAINST ANYONE O you who believe! be maintainers of justice, bearers of witness of Allah's sake, though it may be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives; if he be rich or poor, Allah is nearer to

them both in compassion; therefore do not follow (your) low desires, lest you deviate; and if you swerve or turn aside, then surely Allah is aware of what you do. [4.135] RETURN A GREETING WITH THE LIKE OR BETTER And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with a better (greeting) than it or return it; surely Allah takes account of all things. [4:86] DON'T GRIEVE FOR WHAT YOU LOSE NOR BE EXULTANT OF WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN 'So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster' [57.23] EXERCISE MODERATION IN ALL PURSUITS And their saying was no other than that they said: Our Lord! forgive us our faults and our extravagance in our affair and make firm our feet and help us against the unbelieving people.
