Originals and photocopies SC2016.33.1 COLLECTION NOTE This genealogical collection was compiled by Imogene (Young) Ashby (1929-2015) of Warren County, Kentucky. It includes genealogical charts, documents, and other family related material for a number of families in the northwestern part of Warren County, Kentucky, chiefly the Miller, Flora, and Young families. Many other families are mentioned and are included in the subject analytics at the end of this finding aid. When donated, this material was in three binders; it was removed from the binders and tabbed sections became folder headings when moved to acid-free folders for permanent storage. The first two volumes were used to complete Ashby s more organized volume (Folders 25-27) titled Some Relatives and Friends of Imogene Young Ashby, which is indexed. This collection is almost entirely made up of photocopies. Original photographs when available were transferred to the Kentucky Library Research Collection. Imogene Young Ashby was born the daughter of Arch and Anna Eliza Young on 10 May 1929 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She graduated from Richardsville High School and Western Kentucky University. After retiring from teaching, she was the co-owner of Cinderella Cleaning Service. She was a long-time member of the Greenville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Muhlenberg County Homemakers and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
