p25on St Bede Parish, Morris Green 25 th February 2018 2 nd Sunday of Lent PLEASE REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS Editorial When others look at your life, do they know that God loves loves you? Can they see the change in you? do they know you are a follower of His? Remember, the evidence is in your own words and actions. The most important thing you could ever know and show is that God loves you. His love changes us. his love empowers us. His love takes us to new levels. His love gives us eternal life. Open your heart fully and receive His love today. then turn around and love Him in return by following His commands. Make the decision today to let His love show all over you! For we know dear brothers and sisters loved by God, that He has chosen you to be his own people (1 Thessalonians 1:4) Father in Heaven, thank you for loving me, for empowering me and changing me to be more like You. Have your way in my heart so that I can be a shining light of Your love to the people around me. The film boxes are at the back of church and we encourage everyone to fill as many as they can with 50p or/and 20p s. The total contents will be shared between church and our 2018 charity; The Church Army. There are information books on the table in the porch to give you an insight into what they do for the needy. Please help in this as your Lenten commitment and money can be handed in when you have a full box until Easter Day. Thank you DONATIONS PLEASE!!!! We require donations of Easter Eggs for our BINGO night on Friday 23 rd March. There will be boxes near the font at the back of church for all donations. Eggs of all sizes required as well as large chocolate bars please. Further details of the night will follow shortly. Many thanks. THANKS To all who helped and supported yesterdays Charity event. Any support is appreciated!. Our Church depends very heavily on fundraising as well as regular giving to keep our Church afloat. We work very hard to put on different events but we need these events to be supported if they are to be successful in raising funds and providing opportunities to share fellowship as a Church.

Take Up Your Cross 'Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?' Mark 8:34-36 Code breaker - Each number represents a letter of the alphabet. Substitute the correct letter for the numbers to reveal the coded words.

As you have received, so may you be pleased to give. St Bede s is a living Church and its people are The Church. The Church s only financial support is its own Church family. Please try to support the social and fundraising events as they are vital not only to the financial wellbeing of our Church, but are great opportunities to get to know one another better.
