Welcome from 2016 CAF President Kenny Roberts Kenny Roberts welcomed everyone the meeting, thanked Rebel Kettle for hosting, and called the meeting to order. 2. Business Portion of meeting a) Kenny Roberts, President: 1

Kenny recognized CAF member John Herron for Big Red Ball ProAm winner. Kenny introduced the 2016 Committee Chairs: Troy Ellis: Education Committee Chair Andrew Teague: Welcome Committee Chair Chris Beavers: Sergeant at Arms Foam Fest club sponsorship Kenny informed the member 2016 paid CAF members can apply for a $20 voucher towards their beer ingredients at either the Water Buffalo or Fermentables. 25 total vouchers are available. See Club secretary Kimberly Morton for a voucher and details. Foam Fest is Friday April 1 st at Dickey Stephens and is a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation. Bylaws change for honorary membership Kenny summarized a needed bylaws change to add sponsor membership and honorary memberships. The bylaws change will be voted on by the members at the 3 10 meeting. b) Graham Linder, Immediate Past President: Blue Bonnet update Graham informed the members several club officers and membership were attending Blue Bonnett to represent the club March 11 th March 13 th. Ideas will be gathered to bring back to the membership regarding within the club beer competitions and circuit beer competitions within clubs within the state. Graham is working with Ken Haycook and other clubs in the state to come up with a home brew competition circuit. Announcement 3 5 Foamfest Brew Day The club is holding a brew day at Graham Linder s place of business Document Management, Inc. on Saturday 3 5 for any member to attend as an opportunity to brew for Foam Fest and to learn about all grain brewing. c) Jillian Linder, Rocktoberfest Chair Rocktoberfest update Jillian let the membership know the list of venues had been narrowed down to four venues: Dickey Stephens, the Clinton Center, River Market Pavilion and War Memorial. The Rocktoberfest committee has met and is in the process of assigning chairs for committees. Home Brew Wrangler: Aaron Showalter and Bonz Rogers Ticketing Coordinator: Graham Linder Marketing Coordinator: open Chairman: Jillian Lender Any member who is wanting to help out please contact Jillian: jillian@centralarkansasfermenters.com Charity beneficiaries being considered are Youth Home, Our House, and Arkansas Food Bank. d) Bonz Rogers, First VP of Social Activities Bonz announced the March meeting would be at Professor Bowl and that venue would be the meeting location every other month. He informed the members of Flyway as the most recent sponsor, paid members showing their membership cards receive 10% food and beverages. e) Josh Davis, 2 nd VP Competitions 2016 Beer judging calendar John shared the 2016 CAF meeting competition. The first one is for American pale ales at the March 10 th meeting. Competition is open to 2016 paid members only. Some competitions will have the winner s beer brewed by a sponsor. See details end of minutes. f) Terje Stoneman, Treasurer Financial Report Cash on hand at 1 14 meeting all sources: $29,808.16 (report given by Graham Linder) Beginning balance checking account January 2016: $26,956.75 Expenses since 1 14: $1,015.08 Income since 1 15: $1,925.49 Available balance checking account on 2 11 15: $27,866.98 (does not include PayPal account or dues paid tonight) g) Kimberly Morton, Secretary Membership update: 50 new members joined tonight and we have a total of approximately 130 paid members for 2016. Membership who have paid by 2 29 2016 will get their cards at the March 10 th meeting. 3. John Lee, Co Founder Rebel Kettle February speaker John Lee gave a talk about going from home brewer to professional brewer to brewery owned. He included tips on how to make better beer. 4.
