The Relevance of Human Values in Modern Era India, one of the oldest civilizations of human race, is well known all over the world for its distinct ancient culture and civilization focusing on humanism through its philosophy of integral humanism and वस ध व क ट म बकम. The perspective is well defined and reflected in Sanskrit literature which developed over last ten thousand years or so starting from Vedic Saṃhitā to classical Sanskrit Literature. Human values were considered the most important in ancient India. The country of rich culture is believed to be created by God, has full of values and virtues. Even the battles in India were based on values. The war of KurukŚetra was fought for values. Rāmāyaṇa, Mahābhārta, Śukranīti, ViduranītiNīti-Śatakaṃ, Arthaśāstra of Cāṇkya contains moral and human values. Humanism mainly deals which seeks to decide norms, ideals, standards or other values. Three important human values in our day to day life are truth, beauty and oodness i.e., सत य ह व स न दरम -Kautilya says that अर थ is the most important, धमथ and क म are both dependent on it. Which are followed by several human values like truth, Nonviolence, Bramacharya and secularism in the life. Vedas and Upaniṣadas describe about dharma and duties to be undertaken by the people. Rama was the personification of dharma र म हवग र व न धमथ In Sanskrit Literature, ह क ष is a Vedāṇga which denotes the concept and characteristics of human values. Human values cannot be forced, even if conveyed with good intentions. Human values are based on knowledge and wisdom. They are real source of education to every individual. Therefore, value centered education is must to develop human values to each individual and these human values are depicted in Sanskrit Literature. Yoga śāstra plays an eminent role to impart real education for retaining the human health and values in the way of peaceful life. Values are the concepts that describe human behavior. Truth, co-operation, non-violence, peace, love and respect for parents, elders, authority and hard work, these human values are leading in the history of civilization. Infact yoga is a bridge between body, mind and spirit. It trains our attitude and gives mental peace. It is substitute of moral, spiritual and human values.the essence of humanism as described by Manu is श र यत धमथसवथस व श र त व च व वध यथत म आत मन प रहतक ल हन पर ष न सम चर त
