Welcome to Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael! We are an egalitarian, Conservative Congregation with a rich history of more than 116 years. We seek to infuse the joy and love of Judaism in all that we do. We are a family - meeting the religious, educational and social needs of all of our members from our youngest to our oldest. We are fortunate to enjoy a proud history that is supported by our multi-generational congregation. Our congregational family continues to thrive and evolve as we welcome new families to our historic landmark building. We are committed to life-long learning - studying our traditions is central to being a Jew, and to creating involved and active Jewish families. Our Nursery School, Religious School, Youth Groups, Adult and Children s Choirs and Adult Education programs provide opportunities for growth and development at all life stages. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate in their children s learning journey which provides families a shared Jewish experience. Access to multi-generational knowledge and perspectives further enriches our educational approach. We are a caring community - servicing the needs of our congregants with committees such as our Gemilut Hasadim (Caring) Committee and our newly created Chevra Kadisha (Jewish Burial Society). We work collaboratively and support other local organizations such as the local community soup kitchen, United Jewish Communities of MetroWest (UJC), and The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Together we meet the needs of our fellow Jews and friends in need whether in our backyard or around the world. Come see for yourself! Join us for Shabbat services, family programs, Adult Ed classes or one of our many other activities and events. Once you are here, we trust that you will feel the spirit of our community and experience the richness of Jewish life within our walls.
