Page 2 Well, the month of October has come and gone. The First Mates Wine Pairing Dinner on October 11th was wonderful! The lamb was a big hit as was the wine from Navarro Vineyards. Thanks to all the First Mates that worked so hard to put this event together. Ann Courrege, Rae Ann Normand, Carole Lanata, Gail Diamond, June Collins, Kathy Hebert and of course my lovely wife J.B. for the great food and a beautiful evening. A few of the members deserve thanks as well Kenny Lanata and Martin Smith for their help and Jeff Hebert for his own special contribution. In the month of November, circle the 15th of the month. The day starts off with the Commodore's Cup in the morning and finishes off with the Island Party that evening. Should be fun, but a long day so pace yourselves. Frozen Pina Coladas and LImbo for everyone. Kevin if you win again perhaps you should hang up your pole! Commodore's Corner Thanks to Mike Vincellette, Harley McPeek, Kevin and all those that helped us place the boats on the north side of the building. Warren Properties had their Executive VP's down hereand were pleased. This helps when we have to negotiate with them on lease, repairs, etc. We will not have Steak Night on November 28th as we have club rentals on that Friday and Saturday. We have moved Steak Night to December 5th. This is also the night of the General Election so we should have excellent attendance. On club rentals, I ask for your patience. These rentals are vital for us to continue to operate in the black. They provide an excellent source of income, and with membership down, we need them. Glad to see Hetty Barnes is doing better. See you at the club! Jimbo
