NATIVITY SERVICE - 10.00 A.M. SUNDAY 9TH DECEMBER Once again arrangements have been made for the gifts from the Candlelight Carol Service to be taken to the Manor House Hostel in Bushey. You will probably be aware that the Hostel does not have any children and, therefore, only gifts such as Tissues, Socks, tights, Hankies, Writing Paper, Aftershave, Smellies (Talc, Soap, Shower Gel, etc.,) and any jewellery which you no longer want or use for the ladies. Please mark the gift for either a lady or man which will make things a lot easier for the staff at the hostel when the gifts are delivered. **************************************************** PROJECT FOR 2018/2019 THIS IS A REMINDER THAT OUR PROJECT FOR 2018/2019 WILL BE FOR BONABOTO, THE DONATIONS OF WHICH WILL GO TOWARDS BUYING INCUBATORS FOR PREMATURE BABIES IN THE UPPER-EAST REGION OF GHANA IN WEST AFRICA. I know that all the presents will be very acceptable and it is a great help to the staff at this time of year for those who remain at the hostel over the Christmas period and are unable to go to their own homes. Thank you again for your kindness. Vivien Crispe. +++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

PLEASE COME AND JOIN US AS THE START OF OUR CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS. MAY I HAVE MATERIAL FOR THE FEBRUARY 2019 ISSUE OF THE MESSENGER BY NO LATER THAN SUNDAY 23 RD JANUARY 2019 THANK YOU.

REFLECTIONS CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR WHAT IS CHRISTMAS? IS IT JUST A DAY AT THE END OF THE YEAR A GAY HOLIDAY FILLED WITH MERRY GOOD CHEER A SEASON FOR PRESENTS BOTH TAKING AND GIVING, A TIME TO INDULGE IN THE PLEASURES OF LIVING? ARE WE LOST IN A MEANINGLESS, MUICH-HUDDLED DAZE THAT COVERS OUR MINDS LIKE A GRAY AUTUMN HAZE? HAVE WE CLOSED OUR HEARTS TO GOD AND HIS LOVE? AND TURNED OUR EYES FROM THE BRIGHT STAR ABOVE. OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN RENEW AND RESTORE THE REAL TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS ONCE MORE, SO WE CAN FEEL IN OUR HEARTS AGAIN THAT PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TO MEN IS STILL A PROMISE THAT MAN CAN CLAIM IF HE BUT SEEKS IT IN THEY NAME. ******************************************** NEW YEAR S DAY AS WE START A NEW YEAR UNTOUCHED AND UNMARRED, UNBLEMISHED AND FLAWLESS, UNSCRATCHED AND UNSCARRED, MAY WE TRY TO DO IT BETTER AND ACCOMPLISH MUCH MORE, AND BE KINDER AND WISER THAN THE YEAR GONE BEFORE. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR TO ALL.
