M2: The Bhakti Path In this course we will study more deeply the yoga sutras and the Upanishads. We will also engage in a deeper study of the spiritual text, The Bhagavad Gita. We will share inspirational poetry and discover how to incorporate these stories into your class themes. Vedic, Tantric and Bhakti traditions of chanting will be explored and differentiated. You will have the chance to study Sanskrit and even learn about devotional Puja. We will end the training with a Harmonium Lab where you will learn to play the harmonium while chanting Om and several mantras that you can then incorporate into the classroom. This will take your teaching to another level, rooting it in the rich tradition of this ancient practice. M3: Intelligent and Inspired Sequencing In this module you can expect to study and also practice different approaches to sequencing a class that are dynamic and inspired. We will explore creativity within the warm up poses and the Surya Namaskar based on the particular focus of your class. We will discuss and implement tools That aid in the architecture of your class, building a solid foundation to work from. We will work on alignment and how to combine specific actions to build your sequence. We will even cover the transitions, the space between poses, making the experience of movement more fluid. You will build new confidence in your teaching as you unveil your own authentic voice. M4: Ay u r ve d a: T h e S c i e n ce of L ife In this module you will gain more knowledge of Ayurveda, the ancient sister science to yoga. You will delve deeper into this healing science, learning about everyday ancient rituals for balance. You will learn more deeply about the Doshas, Gunas, and the 5 Rasas. You will also do hand s on exercises that aid you in seeing your students in a new way, looking for naturally occurring tendencies and how things may have a tendency to go out of balance. You can utilize these new tools to help your students understand themselves and find renewal in the practice. We will look at psychological influences, as well as conditions in nature that can be incorporated into your classes or private sessions as you hold space for the individual. M5: Energy and the Subtle Body In this module we will look at the science of energy and how esoteric yoga theory and the cutting edge of neurobiology are starting to say a lot of the same things. You will learn to look at and read the energy body of your students. We will go deeper into the energy system of the chakras, and discuss prana, our vital life force and how to utilize these tools within the class setting. We will also practice using the language of energy while teaching and also engage in energetic assisting. We will use tools such as Yantras and Mantras to Heal the subtle Body. We will learn the neuroscience and physiology of meditation and practice different types of meditation to see their effects on and off the mat. M6: Yoga for Health and Wellness In this module we will approach different styles of teaching to reach more populations. You will learn what gentle yoga is and how to sequence for it. We will study accessible yoga. Making yoga available to all levels of ability, including chair yoga and yoga for students who might be bed ridden. We will go deeper into Restorative Yoga and how it can help relieve chronic stress, spending time on the use of props and going deeper into the postures, their modifications and breathing techniques for deep relaxation. You will learn about Yin Yoga with essential oils, Yoga Nidra, and Yoga for Back Care. In this segment you will learn new tools for teaching individualized yoga, one on one private sessions and how to deal with the individual and see what is needed for wholeness. Our program is divided into 6, 50 Hour Modules. Upon completion of all 6 Modules in one calendar year, or over the course of multiple years, you will have completed the number of Hours necessary to meet the requirements for the Yoga Alliance 300 Hour certification. Please note that you must have a 200 Hour YA certification to be considered for the 300 RYS Track. Each module is a stand alone continuing education curriculum. If you want to expand your yoga education but not commit to the whole 300 hour training ~ you can apply for each segment individually. Tuition for each Module is $800.00
