No Skipping By No Slipping Through No Sneaking Around As one is listening to the news, you understand that people do what they want without recognizing the consequences. No one knows, No one cares, No one is looking, No one is assessing. This is the belief! There is no fear of future impact! Skipping, Slipping, and Sneaking abound! However, the following words of reality and warning crossed my radar screen in the last few weeks: And God requires an account of what is past. Ecclesiastes 3:15 NKJV For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14 NKJV forgive, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone, know the hearts of the sons of men). 2 Chronicles 6:30 NKJV But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37 NKJV But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to each one according to his deeds. Romans 2:5-6 NKJV in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Romans 2:16 NKJV the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one s work 1 Peter 1:17 NKJV The above scriptures are Very intensive, Very individualistic, All-inclusive, and Very focused! Journaling these verses, it became abundantly clear that there is No Skipping By No Slipping Through and No Sneaking Around when it comes to giving an account - an individual account of why you did what you did, said what you said, and thought what you thought. There is no getting around the circumstance, event, word, action, or thought! Motives and personal decisions will be made known. The Day of Revelation will occur! Therefore, judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one s praise will come from God. 1 Corinthians 4:5 NKJV This summer, take a few moments of personal inventory. Ask the Spirit of God to reveal to you what He desires from you. This is a Personal Matter! Take Your Time! There is good news for you when He becomes your instructor and guide: 1. There is Forgiveness 2. There is Growth spiritually in relationship with God and others 3. There is Newness in work ethic 4. There is New joy, peace, hope, and power not seen or felt before! Now these blessings are fit for praise fireworks after the Fourth of July!

The Latest Happenings: The finishing touches are being implemented in the L. L. Speer Hall. Security and furnishings will soon be in place and ready to house all resident students at Trinity College of Florida. This has been a desire of many for over a decade and will now be a tangible blessing for students and parents alike. Academic Achievement, Social Engagement, and Community Enrichment will be at least three benefits of this beautiful three-story facility. It is to be Home Away from Home. Plans are being formed for an Open House prior to the start of the school year. Watch for a special notification regarding time and date. New furniture and furnishings valued at $192,000 will be part of this new facility. Floors and rooms are in the process of being named. If you are interested in having a room sponsored by your family, church, or business, contact the President s Office: 727-569-1401 or bskinner@trinitycollege.edu. Plans are being made to refurbish Ruth Munce Hall, the current dormitory, to be utilized for married students and single older students. President s Circle July 2018 www.trinitycollege.edu Page 2

Landscaping has occurred this summer! Come and see! This summer, the campus has been utilized by approximately 70 students from The Chapel. They have been on campus each week using our classrooms for their summer institute. Other uses for the campus have included soccer camp, community organizations, and the Restoration Church on Sundays. Ed Brandt, of E. W. Brandt & Associates, a nation-wide and highly recognized foundation development group with six locations, led and taught a training session on the Biblical giving and investing in Trinity College of Florida. Thirty-five were in attendance and received the training on how to enrich the vision and mission of the College. At the end of the orientation seminar, one donor presented our President with a check for $100,000. God is working amazingly and faithfully. President s Circle July 2018 www.trinitycollege.edu Page 3

Following the seminar, Dr. Ed Allen, Campaign Chairman and Assistant to the President, joined with Board Chair John Whitehead and Assistant Board Chair Ed Brandt, to inaugurate a special 6-month pledge campaign, Keeping the Mission Alive for 85. The goal is to secure $500,000 to facilitate three primary and critical areas: Life Change Scholarships [for students who cannot financially afford to attend] Keeping and attracting qualified & gifted faculty & staff Continue and enhance college operations in preparation for increased enrollment If you would like to consider joining the Trinity College family in making a gift or pledge which can be paid over the next six months at whatever amount is appropriate for you, contact Mrs. Billie O Farrell at 727-569-1401 or by email bskinner@trinitycollege.edu. Many of our students participated in missions trips this summer. A group is currently on a trip to Italy and Greece for the Honors program. Congratulations to Dr. Stu Parsons, Chair of the Bible and Theology Department! His research essay was accepted for presentation at a panel discussion about the biblical commentaries of Evagrius, a fourth-century Egyptian Christian, at the recent 2018 annual meeting in Chicago of the North American Patristics Society. Other research was offered by Professor Stephen Davis of Yale Dr. Stu Parsons University, Professor Ian Gerdon of the University of Notre Dame, and panel chair Carle Vennerstrom, a graduate student at The Catholic University of America. The North American Patristics Society is dedicated to the study of the history and theology of early Christianity. Page from the fourth-century Proverbs commentary Congratulations also go to Mrs. Krista Mallo, English professor and Learning Center Director, upon her recent publication of poetry by the publisher. Krista is a PhD candidate at the University of South Florida. Many of our professors are published authors and writers. We are blessed as a College. Prayer is needed for the Certificate of Occupancy to be granted by the County for the L.L. Speer Hall in a timely fashion for the fall semester. the incoming freshman class of 2018-2019. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in Him should ponder them. Everything He does reveals His glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
