Panagia Chapel Roof Tiles To wrap up the building of the Panagia Chapel at the Diakonia Retreat Center in Salem, SC, His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios is asking that each family give the names of their loved ones, living and departed, to be sealed in the Holy Table during consecration and prayed for during services held in the Chapel. When submitting the names, His Eminence requests that each family prayerfully consider sponsoring a roof tile through a donation of $30 or more, as you are able, to the completion of the Panagia Chapel s roof. For more information on making a donation, pick up a flyer in the Fellowship Hall. Houses of Worship Safety Awareness Presentation offered by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Depart originally planned for July 13 had to be postponed due to a scheduling conflict with the PD. The new date will be announced within the next week and will take place in August. John Wallace frdalber@stnektarios.org, frwallace@stnektarios.org During the three sessions, we answer questions that non Orthodox people have about the faith and help them understand what it means to enter the Orthodox faith through Holy Chrismation should they choose to do so. This class is also appropriate for those already Orthodox who would like to learn or review the basics of the faith. Topics include an overview of church history, understanding Holy Tradition, the development of The Creed, the nature of the Holy Trinity and more. For those who plan to be chrismated and cannot make the class, appointments can be arranged to fit your schedule.
