ONE: See if there is any wicked way in me, MANY: and lead me in the way everlasting ALL: Let us worship our God. HYMN No. 191 We Have Come at Christ s Own Bidding BREWER GREETING Dr. Mann PRAYER OF CONFESSION Gracious Lord, you have searched us and known us. You know when we sit down and when we rise up; you discern our thoughts from afar. You search out our paths and our lying down and you are acquainted with all our ways. Even before a word is on our lips, O Lord, you know it completely. Therefore, we confess to you what you already know of us: we have wandered from your ways; we have wasted your gifts; we have forgotten your love. Visit and help us, for your great mercy s sake. Strike us and heal us; cast us down and raise us up. We offer ourselves to you; we put all of our trust in you; for you alone have the words of eternal life and in your name we pray. NEW TESTAMENT READING John 12:20-26 Page 88/Pew Bible The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. SERMON Sir, We Would See Jesus Dr. Mann HYMN No. 726 Will You Come and Follow Me KELVINGROVE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH-from The Apostle s Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, where he sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection the body, and the life everlasting. Amen RESPONDING TO THE WORD CELEBRATIONS AND CONCERNS Dr. Mann PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE LORD S PRAYER debt/debtors EXCHANGE OF PEACE OFFERING OFFERTORY Kyrie Eleison Maurice Duruflé Overbrook Choir DOXOLOGY HYMN No. 607 PRAYER OF DEDICATION THE GREAT THANKSGIVING The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. THE LORD S SUPPER It is right to give our thanks and praise.

It is truly right and our greatest joy to give you thanks and praise, O Lord our God, creator and ruler of the universe. You formed us in your image and breathed into us the breath of life. You set us in this world to love and serve you, and to live in peace with all that you have made. When we turned from you, you did not turn from us. When we were captive in slavery, you delivered us to freedom, and made a covenant to be our sovereign God. When we were stubborn and stiff-necked, you spoke to us through prophets who looked for that day when justice shall triumph and peace shall reign over all the earth. Therefore, we praise you, joining our voices with the celestial choirs and with all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of your name. SANCTUS: Sung by Overbrook Choir Great is the mystery of faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again William Mathias Gracious God, pour out your Holy Spirit upon us and upon these gifts of bread and wine, that the bread we break and the cup we bless may be the communion of the body and blood of Christ. Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are yours, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen INVITATION TO THE TABLE AND THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION Sharing the Bread and Cup Communion will be received in the pews today. The Deacons and Elders will bring the trays to your pew and pass it to you, first the bread and then the cup. Take the bread when it comes to you, pass the plate on, and hold your bread till all are served so that all may partake together. And then when the trays of glasses come to you take a glass, pass on the tray, and hold the glass until all are served. Then all will drink together.
