CELEBRATING THE COMPLETION OF OUR IMPROVEMENTS On Sunday October 29 immediately following each Liturgy we plan to recognize our Property Committee and its Chairman for their dedication and good work in planning and executing the major projects finally completed. Our latest accomplishments include the replacing of the new hall way by the rectory, painting all the parish buildings, installing the new walk way to Cedars Hall. In the past few years so much more has been completed as well thanks to all the good planning and for all the generous benefactors in our little Parish Community. For your information, The new hall way has a provision to make an expansion into class rooms at a time when there is a need and the funds are available. Replacing this hall way as it is was the best we could do financial wise. Also a simple report of money spent for these projects. a. New hall way project - $117,000.00 b. Painting project - 25,000.00 c. Walkway project - 9,700.00 Total - 151,700.00 I want to say again thank you to everyone for your great and generous cooperation for this good work and for all the good we do here at Our Lady of the Cedars of Mt. Looking at one topic at a time consider topic number 1 UNDERSTANDING CONSCIENCE. What is conscience? Conscience helps us hear the voice of God; it helps us recognize the truth about how we ought to live Importance of a well informed conscience. If our conscience isn t well formed, we aren t well equipped to determine right from wrong. How to form our consciences. 1. PRAY, 2. LEARN, 3. REFLECT, 4. NURTURE FRIENDSHIPS. GREAT PLANS SET FOR THE FEAST OF ST. MARON ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2017 Thank you very much members of the Parish Advisory Board and representatives from our parish groups who met this past week to present a plan to celebrate our Feast Day of St. Maron and host a Parish Home Coming. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to be here and for the good help each parish group has agreed to participate in and make our celebration a great one. Each year we honor and celebrate the precious gift from God, our Patron Saint, Saint Maron. All his spiritual children including you and me and every member of our Parish of Our Lady of the Cedars Church including all our active and the not so active who are Maronites and all our friends could come together in February to pray the Divine Liturgy in his honor and then gather around the table in our beautiful Cedars Hall for a delicious family Lebanese meal and celebrate our gift of St. Maron. I want to invite you and all our Maronite Family from near and far to come home to Our Lady of the Cedars Church on Sunday February 4, 2018 for St. Maron s great Feast Day Home Coming Event. This very early announcement about the Feast of St. Maron and Home Coming is to allow you a good way to make a commitment to be here all together and I am counting on your help to contact and invite all family, friends and neighbors from near and far especially members who have become inactive to please come here and celebrate with us on February 4, 2018. At this time I want to invite you and everyone to come here for the Feast of St. Maron. More details about this special event will appear in future bulletins. Be attentive. St. Maron pray for us. Ask God to bless all our Maronite Family.
