Greetings from your Chamber President, Rick Heinz, South Metro FCU Well winter finally caught up to us, the good thing is we are through the worst months. At my first annual meeting as president we had over 130 chamber members, guests and dignitaries join us. WOW what a turnout to hear Eric Therwanger speak about goal setting. It was quite an inspiring experience. As always, many thanks to the Legends Golf Club for their wonderful site, accommodations and meal. Our director, Sandi Fleck did a fantastic job coordinating the event. Congratulations to Chad LeMair from Above All Hardwood Floors and Carpet and Performance Construction as Business Person of the Year. Also congratulations to Kami Thompson and her staff at New Horizon Academy, our Business of the Year. Great job and we thank you for being a part of the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce. A lot of events are coming up in the next few months. Not the least being the Super Bowl, so remember our motto SHOP LOCAL, SHOP OFTEN. Spend your money for your parties here in town, 60% of it stays here. We have Ice Golf coming up the first week in February, we have 18 holes this a year, a first. Valentine s Day comes shortly after that, so again SPEND your money here at home for that bottle of wine and flowers. Also, Wedding Central is coming up on Sunday, February 19, if your business works with brides and wedding events, this is the place to be. Or, if you know of a bride invite her! In closing I would like to thank Gary Meyer for a wonderful year as President of the chamber. I d also like to thank all the board members that left the board, we couldn t have done a thing without you. Let s have a great year as the great chamber that we are. BECOME active in your chamber it will pay you back ten fold in the future. See you next month,
