Bring your unused or expired prescription or OTC medicines to this TAKE-BACK EVENT, and help keep kids safe! Bring your accessories to swap with the other lovely ladies of Tabernacle; just see any member of the Friendship Circle for more details. Start sorting through your accessories to swap NOW, and make plans to attend! SAVE THE DATE: VBS IS JUNE 25-29! Volunteers needed: to create decorations, colorful, funky signs/displays, and one to build a wonky shaped bookshelf out of foam core or wood! Items needed, by donation or loan: drafting table (loan), vibrant/bold colored spare paint, carpet tubes, dryer hoses, old wrenches, pool noodles, Slinkys, old pot lids, zip ties, empty coffee cans and/or oversized veggie cans, large empty water jug, 2 bags of tennis balls! Tabernacle UMC will be sending a team of 8-10 people to Robeson County from April 3-8, 2017 to serve as a part of the United Methodist effort to repair flood damaged homes. Please consider joining this team for a day, or perhaps several. No prior experience is required, only a willing heart and hands! Easter is coming up FAST; our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration are set for Sunday, April 9th! Free and Open to ALL kids, with cupcake decorating, crafts, candy, egg hunt, bounce house, and the most amazing Bible story ever heard!!! Make plans now to come and bring a friend! Now accepting candy donations in the Commons area. Also, volunteers are needed to help during the celebration! Sale will begin at 7:00am with breakfast biscuits available while supplies last; hot dogs will be ready around 10:30am, and will take place in the TUMC Daycare parking lot with around 50 spaces, 20ft x 20ft, available for rent for $10 each; a space plus a table rents for $15. This is our major fund-raiser for the year, so even if you re not selling, make plans to come out, look for some treasures, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the day! The deadline for the Sunday Bulletin is Wednesday at 8 am. The deadline for the monthly newsletter is the 15th of the month prior to the month of the newsletter. Please use date request forms for all upcoming events/meetings (even if it is an annual TUMC event). Please specify date/time, what area of the building will be used, sound/any specific equipment, or if kitchen facilities are needed. Due to quite a few of our staff members being new to TUMC this will help to ensure all details are clear, staff/committee members are in place, and their are no conflicts in dates. The forms are on the information table in the narthex, commons area, and church office under staff mailboxes.
